  16. Hey thats smart, love ffmpeg, but hate all the options. I tend to cheat with winff and then copy the cmd line. Feels better on the command line :-)
  17. Yep, Mythbuntu host, with an XP VM.
  18. Depending on how powerful your system is, you could always run Virtualbox. I have just done this on my Mythbuntu system. I had to have a small XP VM for some Windows only weather station software. Works a treat and with a very small foot print. On my Asus eee box 1gb ram 1.6Ghz Atom proc Virtualbox ticks along at about 12% cpu idle, so not too bad.

  20. My trusty old Vaio has finally given up. (stripped it down to a bare motherboard and display and it won't even turn on - just a few very faint clicks which is odd as I can't see any moving parts, but hey) So I'm after recommendations for a new one. The gf has just bought this - VGN-NW21ZF/S (VGNNW21ZF/S) : Technical Specifications : VAIO Computing : Sony which is a decent spec for £800, but I'm after a system that has a bit higher screen res. looking to spend 800 ish - will be running Ubuntu
