  1. Cheers for the replies... Whats the Gemini like to paddle from the centre seat?
  2. Thinking of getting a tandem sit on kayak... Maybe a perception gemini?? Anyone else got one?
  3. Stevie Wonder was once given a cheesegrater for Christmas, he said it was the most violent book he had ever read.
  4. If your going anywere near Geneva, I would recommend these guys http://www.skiidygonzales.com/ for transfers.
  5. Why not join the Bono Sucks FB group - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2205078809 "At the U2 concert in Sydney, lead singer Bono asks the audience for some quiet. Then in the silence, he starts to slowly clap his hands. Holding the audience in total silence, he says into the microphone, "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies." An "Aussie" voice from near the front pierces the silence, "Well, stop f**king clapping, ya d**k'ead." Tw@t

    Gas Meter

I have a horrible smell under my sink, it's the same cupboard as my gas meter. It's a stale gas smell. I have had the meter tested by a plumber a while ago, who found no sign of a leak. Does anyone know who you need to contact these days to get it checked out? If it's a faulty meter, am I liable for the repair / replacment?
  7. Glad you got it working, good isn't it!
  8. Yeah, I guess that will work too. Try ifconfig -a on the mythbox to see your ip addy.
  9. Most routers have a web interface... Try 192.168.1.254 That works for the bthomehub, not sure about belkin. default tends to be Admin / admin for the password
  10. The address range will be 192.168.0.* You will need to log in to your router and make the change there. Map the MAC address to a static IP. One of the other guys might be able to walk you through it.
  11. Yeah, did get a bit bad :-) It's the initial setup thats a bit geeky - hour or two, but it's so worth it. Having live / recorded and all your films available anywhere is big bonus. Oh and a few of the er um cough pay-to-view channels come down for free. Well, so a mate told me.
  12. Lem, do you see many mythbackend crashes? From time to time it fails on mine, so I have a cron that checks every 5 mins or so and restarts if the daemon is missing.
  13. I would highly recommend this page for a step by step guide - http://www.parker1.co.uk/mythtv_ubuntu.php Although he is using Ubuntu and then installing myth - I would just start with mythbutu as it's all there out of the box. On my setup only the server has static ip, my lappy is dhcp and connects over wireless at the mo.
  14. The way I have mine setup - Main server runs mythbackend and a front end. It's connected directly to my tv. My laptop running ubuntu is running myth frontend. The Ip address of the main server is static, so the laptop needs to be configured to connect to mythbackend. This allows me to watch recordings / live tv anywhere in the house. Although if mythweb is configured on the main server, you can watch recordings anywhere you have access to a browser ( you will need fast connection )
  15. Mythbuntu is amazing, been running it for about 5 months on an asus eee pc runs like a dream. And my iphone works as a remote :-) The best bit is being able to record things when you are away from the house with mythweb ( and to stream to my desk at work :-)
