awesome. i'm in canberra ATM and seen something about this beach on extreme kites. was going to head up one sunday a few weeks ago but was too far for a few hours at the beach. i'll have to see about a road trip up some week end. worst thing about canberra is the distance to the beach and on ly one kite and no buggy here. great footage Edit sorry for ur loss
  4. sand yeti that sounds like an unbelieveable amount of fun. if fisly could have the world chanpionships there for a year it would be awesome. if you had a mix of island racing and dune racing that would lethal dubai has just been added to my list of places to buggy. if there was an event like what you have described organised, i'd seriouly have to look about getting out to it.
  5. maggie now has my xxracer. i am on order for a buggy at the mo
  6. ever bought a buggy and thought i want that one :-S
  7. lol i didnt decide the flip of the coin did. i gave the tornado 3 the queens head for home advantage. but it landed tails. very little in it. the price does vary. but the scene now has 3 or 4 top buggy racer making tried and tested deigns to your spec. they it all comes down to your preferance, price and what ever side the coin lands on the hardest thing about buying a new buggy is getting sometime in one your looking at, it may not be custom to you but that would help you decide. at the euro's i got a quick run in an apex and had been in a T3 a few times but didn't go from one to the other to directly compare straight away so the both were on a par with each other
  8. if it we didnt have the ferry crossing to consider it would be great to come over 3 or 4 times a year to race but the cost for us is too expensive, ideally we'd get 4 in a van and come over but there are only 2 or 3 who want to compete in the main land. i'd say the more the merier for the celtic challange, if your in the welsh PKA series you can race, as can anyone else who comes, but you need to be celtic to get scored for the trophy . this years Celtic chalange will be scores from results at the worlds due to the event being in july.that is currently the thinking to reduce the costs 4 nations, i'd love to see it happen, again 2 possibly 3 who would make the trip purely because of family and work
  9. i was refering to my desicion on a new buggy, tails won on the coin filp.
  10. best of 3 tails it was
  11. Ozzy showed us a set at the euros. they solve the problem of ur kite handles getting caught on each other when working a kite up to speed. and from the pics of the euros alot of guys are using them. will probably purchase a few sets when i'm sorting out the rest of my kites
  12. what month?
  13. i've been thinking about this since the euros, i've done the pros and cons, compared the both in pics and tried to remember the run i had in the apex. and i've been in a T3 many a time and still can't decide. it has come to the point where i need to get one ordered so its here for the first race i do. to be hoinest i'm thinking of deciding on the flip of a coin or a roulette table as there is no one feature that stands out for me both are awesome pieces of kit. it does come down to time in the buggy, set up and you kites and skill. and being in the buggy as often as possible. coming up to the euros i had 3 months with only one trip to the beach because of busy beaches back home which makes a difference. red or black heads or tails???
  14. apex is 1850 euros frame only plus extra for the foot rests and weight bar for the back. currently wrecking my head with what to go for as i just sold my xx buggy and a old set of kites T3 or Apex that is the questions??? had a go in both and cant decide which is better

  18. the saturday and sunday before the euros, is the bank dry?? could we have a 4 race event on the sat and sunday before the euros? we're planning to come over on the friday nite boat to be there for the sat morning, hopefully to get some practice in if nothing else. a few practice races would be good them for the home nations, there would only be 2 irish piliots tho as the other will be traveling sunday nite
  19. ive got the XXracer the one before the APEX and its a good buggy but it doesnt have the kicks in the side rail of the APEX, (which i'd love to try). as for the xxracer great in the corner and very controllable good reactive buggy, but if its gusty and a dirty wind my legs are xtra swore from pushing myself back into the seat, the side rails aint very secure and i've the seat as low as it can go with extra padding to the side rails. but still prefer my mates T3. side railes on it are great, higher so i have changed the way i hold my handles on a short strop line. had a baracuda before (which is still FOR SALE full stainless, very secure, comfortable and high side rails £450 ono) XXRACER is great if the side rails just had a little more height and the "kick in" for lockin in, which is now how the apex is. for the money the T3 is a serious bit of kit, well balanced, very secure and great in the corners. would happily hold a bigger kite in a T3 and feel ALOT securer that the xx racer
