  1. Google Lemmings kitesurfing club. You won't be able to surf or use the beaches there, but if you email the instructor (Ross) he will probably be able to give you some pointers. Was living there last year and didn't take it up, wish I had. Learning in the cold uk now.
  2. Hi all, does anyone know where I can buy a replacement plug for an Ozone valve? The plug is separate to the valve and is attached to the kite via some fabric. I've seen the valves sold whole online but I'm just after the plug. Cheers, Ben
  3. Pics? I'm after a large waist harness
  4. Nice thread - my Dad has a Stacker 6, a right laugh and good to keep in the boot of the car. Just been paid so might scout out another 6/8/10/12(?) on eBay :-) Those of you slating this thread, why?
  5. Cheers James sounds good. Probably not going to be flying it straight away as I'm still waiting on helmet and harness to arrive. Will be good to check the kite over properly though and check the bar is tip top. Is there ever anyone flying at Westshore mid week? My eyesight wasn't good enough to see last week, but the conditions seemed good enough. I used to do a lot of static flying over at WS with my flexi Blade, so will be good to get back out there.
  6. Hi all, bit of a thread resurrection here, but I am wondering if any of you Pen guys still kite. I moved to Pen recently and am getting into Kitesurfing after a spell away from Powerkiting. Went for a run down the beach last week and thought the conditions would be great for kiting, nice wide beach and decent crosswinds. Only issue is proximity to A55 but as long as you use a sensible kite size I can't imagine it being too sketchy. Just bought myself some kit and am looking at having lessons prior to heading out on my own. Am going away with work until July soon so I'll be back for the summer :-) So if anyone fancies helping me setup my new kite in exchange for a crate please feel free to messgae me or post on here!
  7. Nice vid - what kite?
  8. I like the look of this, but fear it will be too small for me as a starter/intermediate board. That's if it's still available!
  9. Painful! Seen funnier vids to be fair!
  10. I think that one reason so many shops are going out of business is due to the rubbish customer service nowadays (I'm not talking about kite shops where specialist knowledge is required, I'm talking about Currys and the like). If staff can't be arsed when I ask a valid question about a product, then I'll do more research online and spend online.
  11. Ny pics of the board or a link to a pic?
  12. Hi all, I'm getting back into kiting after a few years out. In the past I did mainly land based stuff (jumping/buggying etc), and after a few kitesurf lessons last year I plan to take it up more seriously this year. I've managed to aquire a kite, nice 12m LEI, and I'm now looking at boards. The main question I have is, weighing around 85kg, what size board should I be looking at? I'm looking at twintips as opposed to the surf style boards. I plan to have further lessons to refresh everything, but as there seem to be loads of sales/deals on at the moment it looks like now might be a decent time to get some kit. I've seen this: https://www.atbshop.co.uk/kite-surfing-boards/special-offers/brunotti-onyx-2010 From the blurb it sounds like just what I am after - something I can use as a relative beginner but also grow into. What do you reckon? PS - Main areas I will be kiting are around the N Wales coast and Anglesey. Cheers, Ben.
  13. Ball park figure on these? :-)
