  1. What's your reasoning for "down grading"?
  2. I'd have thought that given you have MK IVs you would know that you can make the kite even liftier with a triple A
  3. For the same money I'd go with the V. I have a 4.9m V and love it. A lot of people on here say the IV is better but would flexifoil really make their latest kite not as good?
  4. My first blade was a MK1 4.9m. It spanked me and I nearly gave up. I've recently bought a MK V 4.9m. It hasn't spanked me on the way to the zenith. It turns really quickly but still lifts like a chinook. I think the main difference over time would possibly be turning speed (without having to use brakes)
  5. Away with work but put the new BV 4.9 seeing as I was going to the coast. Rocked up at boscombe pier where the beach was rammed. Had a beer and then walked about 5 or 6 groynes west and it was quiet. Wind guru reckoned it was about 7 kn. Well I launched fine and got my first pendulum jumps under my belt. Lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Well my arms are knackered so now back in the harvester at the bottom of the hill for a cold beer!! Happy days!!
  6. Well I'm here at the harvester having a beer cos the beach is rammed. Wind appears light. Pint?
  7. I'm staying away in boscombe tomorrow night with work. Was going to go for a fly whilst I'm atvthe coast. Anyone know of any good places?
  8. Hi all, I'll be staying in boscombe tomorrow night for work and thought I'd take my kite. Where is good to do a bit of static flying with my blade? Cheers
  9. Hey wakemo, how have you got your AAA setup?
  10. So I picked up the new BV 4.9m fromthe courier depot today. Had a quick set up. Love the pro link handles V comfy. Hooked up the extreme lines. Now I'm assuming the the AAA comes set to "normal". I have to say i don't think I understand how to change the position but thats another thread. According to wind guru it was blowing around 11 knots which is approx 12.5mph Nice easy launch and quickly up to the zenith. It didnt pull like a train but I leant back a fair way. Turning right the way through the window was very quick and smooth(possibly as quick as my 2.4 sting). I found it a lot more manageable than my B1 4.9 yet it still lifted me. All in all very happy with the purchase and I can't wait to get it in some more wind
  11. I've bitten the bullet and bought a BV. Should be with me for the weekend although I can only compare it to a B1
  12. Bitten the bullet and bought a BV 4.9m
  13. Flexifoil Blade 3 (III) 10.5m Traction Power Kite on eBay (end time 05-Jul-10 22:55:17 BST) 10.5 on ebay, may be worth a look
  14. now a BIG question. it will be a 4.9m whatever, but do i stump up for a brand new V or is a IV just as good?
  15. Good advice thanks. The blurr is now out of the equation. Now, I've seen some bullets on eBay that are clearly a lot cheaper than a rage. Good compromise?
  16. Hi there, I have had a sting 2.4 for a few years now. I took it out yesterday after a long while and have been bitten by the bug again. I've wanted a bigger kite for ages. I bought a 2nd hand blade 1 4.9m which I haven't flown since it tried to kill me. I'm looking for something with a bit more pull for flying on the ground. No buggy or board. Just something to drag me about a little bit without launching me in to the air or dragging me a mile down the beach. I've seen the blurr. Looking at the 3.5 or do I just go for the sting 2 3.3? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
