  1. board size?
  2. could try a canon 600d - sweet bit of kit. can get covers to make it splash proof and it's an SLR and HD vid but i looked into getting a waterproof housing for mine and they're like 1500 so i'll just some new kites instead;)
  3. got some dirty dogs, lost them after two sessions so got some cheap Jobe ones. Work a treat and are more "disposable" than more expensive glasses
  4. I'm off to Croyde for a long weekend. What are the local spots for kiting around this area? Are there any restrictions/need for permits etc.... Any help and advice would be appreciated
  5. just need some wind
  6. what are the predominant conditions near you? I have a 7,10,14 for all conditions but if i was living in brasil my sizes would be different....and i'd have a tan
  7. Flying down to newquay soon & potentially have a morning free so was thinking of trying to get out kiting. Will obviously need to hire some gear. Is it possible? Any suggestions?
  8. was there last year. Took my 9 and 13 at the time and got out every day i was there (10 days). Think i was lucky though! Elbow is the main place. won't get any flat water though! Went up to somerset when the wind switched but no-one else seemed to bother. The portugese man of wars are a problem so prepare to get stung. All really friendly locals. Will give you all the advice you need. If you need any more info pm me
  9. sun, brasilian booty, wind and kitesurfing.......heaven
  10. a) you can never have too many kites ----- true b) parksy is spot on c) i'm 82kg and have a 14m When i was learning i found cabrinha switchblades were great as they are stable as, great wind range and good boost with decent depower I had a 10m and 7m which i could get out on in 16kts cos they have great low end. You need to try them really bud. A 10 is a good shout though
  11. yep melv teaches there. He's in borocay til end march i think but call scotty and he'll be able to arrange something if you need it before then
  12. Black Rock Sands (Porthmadog) is the best place to kite that i know of round there - i love it. Google that - there must be instructors there. Not much help i know but better than nowt:D

    Board Advice

best thing to do is try as many as you can. It is all down to personal preference. See if you can demo any boards and ask your mates too
  14. maybe a 3day anger management course is a better option
