  1. .......when you see your board bobbing further and further away. it SUCKS. got it back but still...
  2. edit: too harsh lol
  3. lol @ this guy. Frogger, last time i went skydiving there was an 86yr old man going for it. what does that make skydiving then? also hangliding is for pussys (IMO) gently gliding through the air taking in the scenic views....aww how quaint. might aswell call hot air ballooning extreme in that case. jsut wait till you try that first boardstart. i can see it now; dive the kite, out the front door, board sailing off to france.
  4. Im Just mixing tunes (the tracklist is below the mix), i do a bit of D&B djing in my spare time. but i have freinds who produce and they use Apple - Logic Studio - Logic Pro 9 and Propellerhead Software - Products - Reason the software i use to mix with is NATIVE INSTRUMENTS : HOME | HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR MUSICIANS, PRODUCERS, DJS, GUITAR AND BASS PLAYERS which can be teamed with vinyl decks.
  5. SWEET that'll boost my learning curve
  6. Nice work look forward to the full tune check out my short mix Blind_Judge - D&B MIX - SoundCloud
  7. I just got back from Cape Verde and all i took was my kite travel bag (http://www.powerkiteshop.com/accessories/mauimagicmatrixbagwithwheels.htm). i put my board, kite, harness, pump etc. and clothes in it and it weighed 19kg. they didn't ask what was in it they just sent it through over sized baggage (they have no restriction on dimensions it just goes on a different belt). all they care about is weight it seems. so to clarify, at no point did i declare sports stuff. i just rang and asked if they have size restrictions on luggage and they said no. so as far as they were concerned i just had a big long case that was within the weight allowance.
  8. Oh yeah! sweet hadn't thought of that. well i guess i'm covered twice then!
  9. haha sweet! went through moneysupermarket as suggested and got virgin travel insurance. cost £10.40 and covers kitesurfing with 10 million worth of emergancy cover. would have to be a pretty big accident to need all that.....
  10. I need it (for kiting/kiting equipment). What do you use?
  11. Cheers fdvj, i might just stick to shoreham until i get more experienced. don't want any groin trouble lol
  12. yeah, thought id check it out. i was told its a good spot
  13. shorehams good from the limited experience ive had (im very much a begginer to kitesurfing) lots of room to land and launch etc. cant really compare it to anywhere though as i havn't been anywhere else.
  14. kl mate. ive only ever been out a few times at shoreham so lancings a new one for me. i take it you can rig up on the green then just walk it in from there?
  15. Nice one, i might see you down there, would be good to have someone to keep an eye on me in case i wipeout lol
  16. Anyone heading to lancing today or in next few days?
  17. Wait, so some airlines get pissed off if you check in sports gear as 'normal' luggage? wtf? i was just going to put my clothes in a backpack and check in my kite travel bag. anyone know if thompson is cool with it?
  18. Basketball trainers FTW. All the ankle support and padding you need since they are specifically designed for jumping.
  19. Yeah i can definately vouch for that! lol
  20. That massive channel ruins it, the flow under the board will be awful. Can't really see it taking off as the flex of the board will change each time it is adjusted due to the varying overlap which will destroy hopes of consistently good pop etc. The pads would have to move as well to maintain a central position on the board. since all of the load is transmitted through your feet, to maintian good flex it has to be acting in the correct position. would be fine if you don't give a sh*t about performance lol but im finding it hard to see how you could ever make it work on a high performance board. In short, it will never ever be as good as a one piece board. BUT........props to that guy, seems to get about on it nicely.

nice one badgb21! @Simon, cheers mate that's good to know, ill make sure i get as much knowledge of the reefs etc. as possible. i'll might sack off the cross offs as i don't want to end up watching my kit sail out to see (possibly with me attached).
