  1. Just out of interest guys, does anybody know who is flying/teaching on Rhos-on-Sea beach? and next to the rocky area too, not the better sand further down, at best i wouldn't class Rhos as a beginners beach and especially not at the town end - rocks, sea wall - the road next to it and groins sticking out that are not always visible at certain tides..
  2. Ive just picked a second hand one up off ebay for £69 the fella from the local ski centre was selling it, always worth checking eBay - probably not the best time of year tho, might even be worth trying your local ski centres and see if they have any old boards.
  3. Yes it was Adam, Have a look on Mutinys web site on facebook the photos (or at least some of them) are on there. Cracking afternoons kiting too ))
  4. 3mm it is then next question - can anyone recommend a shop to buy them from? North Wales seems to lack its share of stockists!
  5. Ok guys i need some help choosing some new boots, Atans seem to be the best on the market, but im torn between the 3mm and the hot 6.5mm . I normally don't wear boots in the summer and i still want the barefoot feel in the winter, but i want warm tutties! Has anyone found the 6.5mm to be too thick to kite surf in? and has anybody found the 3mm to be cold in winter? Cheers guys and gals
  6. Are you staying in the van? you can quite happily park it outside mine for the weekend but i'm in Colwyn Bay so a taxi back to it will be about £15 quid after midnight. To be honest there are plenty of campers parked up on the front at north shore over night, make sure you keep to the Craig y don (paddling pool end) theirs no parking restrictions there.
  7. I would have to totally disagree with all of the above sorry Andrew - West Shore is certainly not for just pros, The guys and girls that kite down there are some of the most friendly and helpful people I know! True yesterday (and today) were busy and probably not the place to be learning but there's plenty of room once your off the shore. And to be fair most kiters are only too happy to help a newbie (or keep out of their way) after all this is a sport we all love ye?!!
  8. West Shore all the way mate! Had a real good session this afternoon till the water went, didnt fancy the walk of shame - might be up for it tomorow tho

  18. Llanfaifechan works on an eastly, but it's got to be quite low water to get enough beach. Ohh and the sands full of black muck that stains your kite!
