  1. What are you after? Oops! Sorry, didn't see your reply - I'm after a swan neck and wide front end. I only have a standard front with a straight 60/40 and forks that won't take anything other than a barrow:( A couple of folks I met at A09 said they'd do me templates if I wanted to get some made... Can't remember who they are now
  2. Does anyone on here actually have to transport a "race" or larger buggy with a Focus or similar hatchback? I see the red/fuscia car above and wonder would one of those racks work on my Mk1 Focus to carry my Pog? I'll have a try out day at Halfords if I have to but it burns whenever I have to deal with the Saturday staff. My wits and my sanity that is, that get charred...
  3. If you're ever parting with the front end of a Cameleon Pogona - let me know
  4. Firstly - congratulations! Secondly - DUFUS!!!! Thirdly - gift vouchers are ok - some are good, others better... I.E. get her a FairyGothMother voucher - buy it online, they send it in a card with whatever greeting you want - and the stuff that FGM sell make girls feel great and you feel all the better for it! Comes at a price - but oh boy is it worth it! Ho hum - back to lunchbreak...
  5. Shame it's not a 60/40 to fit my Pogona - but have a bump anyway

    AAAH!..oh GOD

I like your thinking Parksy - but I'd most definitely get arrested! Medical emergency or otherwise! *LOL*
  7. GHP - you're one very lucky fella! A wife that not only buys you a buggy - but then follows up and gets you a kite too... And not just any kite but a bloody decent one! All the best - I hope you learn quicker than me... *lol*
  8. Looks to be starting at £250. No bids yet.

Hippo Barfday Jon Glad I finally got to meet you at A09 - I was the big bloke asking about your van... Have a great day - whatever you're up to
  10. Excellent vid Nick I had a fab time too - very pleased to have met you & Shaz. You're brilliant folk!
  11. Great vid! I seriously reckon that there should be an A09.5, and an A10 and then an A10.5...

Hey Festa! How're you doing? I've got no doubt that we've got lots in common - I know you're right on with the humour too! That Jade Goody text turned up when I was in a meeting at work - made my day it did Take care buddy and see you at A09...

Haha! Well, hopefully I won't do anything that warrants that - but I do like tattoos and I'm a blessed diabetic so needles are in my daily routine. They don't hurt - just tickle

Blimey! Thanks That's almost worth having an accident for... *snigger* The healing power of laughter works wonders except if you've just cracked your ribs, gotten a hernia... etc

Heh! I'll be happy with any run I get - just so long as I stay in the bug and the kite stays aloft

Cheers That's reassurring... thought I'd get my buggy all the way there and then not only not know what I'm doing - but not be able to do it *lol* If I do get it very wrong which crowd do I make a chariot dash for?

    Blah...

Just killing lunch and lurking as usual but thought that I'd throw in some words... What a pants weekend! Well, excepting Monday - but why didn't our subscription for wind turn up? On the bright(er) side I'm much more impressed with the ever elongating evenings now... I don't mind packing up in the dark that much - but it's decidedly nicer seeing what the heck you're doing I'm selling my beloved 4.7 Rage along with my Beamer 7.0 to fund and make way for a 7.0 Blurr. If all goes well it'll be Friday but in all probability it'll be next Thursday right before I make my way down to the Ho! for A09 I'm really hoping that the weather gods are watching over us that weekend folks *smiles* Should I wear an "L" plate if I haven't gotten the hang of my buggy properly at the Ho!? Also, will barrows be ok on the beach because I don't have any other options...?
  18. *LOL* I love that table... If I only got my l'il 2.5 out in 28mph+ wind I'd be dead by now - or close to it Of the three Blurrs that I have the 2.5 is the feistiest by far. First time out of the bag it face planted me and it was only blowing 18-20mph! My 5.0 doesn't want to fly in 3mph - mind you I'm inland...
  19. You have cracked me up! (Well, it is nearly Easter and I'm a bit of a Humpty - HaHa!) I was thinking of doing an AntHill Mob on it but 'cos I take my son in the car most of the time I really do need to think about stopping the car sometimes. Tax - I wish I could ignore it but it's just not worth the risk. I've got to be a good boy dammit As for petrol. It's going to be a "filth" word very soon - as if it wasn't already... *sigh* take care buddy & looking forward to catching up with you...
  20. It's all made for interesting reading - but in terms of practicality I've adopted markers (wind spinners) which prove pretty darn useful although I've still not managed a fluid figure of eight yet. More like a couple of 50 pence pieces - but I will persevere. I've given up trying in light wind (
  21. Yo Festa! I've got my ticket + I'm sharing a caravan with some friends (yep, I do have some, heh!) - I'm just worried about affording a few things like car tax, brakes & the petrol involved - but hey, I'm sure I'll work something out somehow... I've been looking forward to it for too long to miss out on it now... I could always just get 6 months tax - that's help a bit
  22. ... Help! How do I get back up the field in a buggy? I'm asking out of frustration now because I can get a straight line, downwind turn - smoothly done and then I run out of puff on the trying to get back where I started from bit. Sorry if this should be on the Beginners thread instead but I don't feel like a beginner with the kites - just everytime I get the chance to buggy. It feels like starting all over again... EDIT: I just want to thank everyone for their input on this. One factor that we can never compensate for is the level of stupidity that I load up before setting off! It's almost like "power up kite - disengage brain"... How come I can static fly fine then as soon as you add three wheels I get the stupids? The annoying thing is that this IS what I want to do... I'm impassioned with kiting and the buggy just tops it. On Saturday morning the winds were strong (27+mph) and I got beaten up (planted & dragged when static flying then lofted when I tried a turn in the buggy) by my Rage. There's me thinking that the 3.3 Sting wasn't going to move me - but I guess I got that wrong too... Anyway, Sunday was the other extreme with hardly any wind - but just enough to play with statically but not quite enough pull me me and the buggy. I am both a very heavy & a lazy kiter after all. I'm going to practice every evening that I can manage now until I get moving properly... Thanks again
  23. "Exhileration" the new scratch & sniff surf short range from Hawaii Gear! Tell your friends to clip their nails first...
  24. Coffee. Fresh ground, dark and strong enough to make your teeth tingle or your toes curl Mmmm, want one now and I've only got crappy instant at work, d'oh! I can drink tea - quite partial to Earl Grey or Assam from time to time. Yorkshire Tea is great if you're getting tea bags! But it just doesn't quite get the same effect as coffee. I love my coffee *potters off with mug & spoon*
