Comes with One RRD Total Depower Bar setup including North Leash Pigtail and 5th Line extensions Spare rubbers, Tube's, repair kit etc.... and Two Big Bags and Pump Looking for around £250 for the pair, can separate...... 5. Hey dude, if you've still got these kites for sale, I can make you a swap offer. Both my RRD's (type 8's) 9m and 15m I'll give you them both with bags, complete bar setup, pigtail extensions, 5th line safety extension, safety leash and pump just for the 15m Phantom?! To me that would be a great offer that couldn't be refused. Both my kites are in fantastic flying condition although the 15m's colour is a little off white, but no repairs or pin pricks absolute great kites for all terrains and disciplines. I've been so desparate for years to get hold of a 15m Phantom!! Let me know what you think...... Cheers!!

  9. RRD Kites are a bunch to demo, very underrated but high quality and high performance, i have the ones as stated below and if they are as good as i make out then the newer range have to be superb! Dont take my word though, just get on em, you can get fairly good deals with em too!..... Also RRD are one of the worlds leading water sports manufacturers but mainly deal with Windsurfers and SUP's
  10. Latest on Karen (bartiebat) ...... She has a displaced Tibial Plateau Fracture (google it to see example) Her ligaments are nearly none existent, but here's the facebook message sent to me if anyone is interested in her progress and what will happen in the near future etc.... Yeh good ta nice to be home for sure Yeh it's really not very good at all have a displaced tibial plateau fracture -google it! But I also have no ligaments left. It's all very scary, doc says outlook isn't great, most important thing is to try & regain as much movement to provide a most normal daily life as poss but no more sports. I'm trying to remain positive & friends are amazing helping with that, but everytime I see the doc he has more bad news& it's hard. Going to theatre tomorrow, they still haven't decided what they are going to do & how many ops I'll need. Stuff they do now could affect the future, stuff they don't do now could affect the future too, alot of it's a gamble. Fingers crossed 2mro answers & fixes a lot of questions. I currently have no doubt in my mind I'll be up kiting, snowboarding & mountainbiking in 6-8mths time even if it's with a knee brace Much love and sympathy goes out to her during the harsh times
  11. its probably about a 20 - 30 minute walk from the train station, or you can get a bus there i know the number 27 stops about a five minute walk from Morfa. Just not sure where you would catch the 27 from in Conwy
  12. not really recommended, but you can try it if you want, its gusty, but just about playable in some cases. Worth heading more towards Llanddonna really
  13. No problems Feilong, you'll get to know loadsa people and get in the swing of things really fast. My kiting hotspots are either Conwy Morfa or Rhosneigr, only been down Westshore once because I dont have a permit. I think it would be better for you to jump straight into the deep end and just come along to Westshore sometime when theres a few locals about, that way they can give you all the advice that you will need to get going solidly and not to worry about getting in the way of each other, even the big guns have that happen now n then. I got in the way when I started learning to Surf but everyone has to start somewhere. The more experienced people out there will know automatically how experienced you are and they will steer away from you trying to make sure that you dont feel intimidated or underskilled. Thats the way I got on anyway, hopefully it would work out the same for you. As long as you check up on here before you go out for a session you should be able to find out whos going where
  14. ahhh well, im sure ifyou search all of the kite related apps sometime now or in the future that if they havent actually got one now they will do soon with so many people working on new apps all the time. Its quite a simple idea really,it all works with the wind blowing through the microphone and then the force and dsitortion of the sound coming through is transcribed into a near accurate wind reading I see your at Llanddulas though, not too far from here, you will have to hook up with a bunch of us sometime
  15. hey feilong! Dont suppose you have an iphone? If you do there is a great and accurate wind anenometer app you can get for free, i use it, and it does thejob
  16. anyone in the Llandudno or nearby area going out for a session this afternoon? I really want to get out, but don't want to go on my own!! Giz a text on 07511466260
  17. Ash 07511466260
  18. the problem with gathering all our numbers and creating a wind alert group is that many of us have iPhones, and theyre shite when it comes to group texting! Getting a bit restless waiting for a decent forecast to pop up down here, been itching to get out down westshore or even Conwy Morfa, still havent been able to take my 15m Type 8 out!! Really wanna know how much Im going to get my arse kicked on that thing. would be nice for a decent forecast today, please, pretty please!!!!
  19. wouldnt touch them if they were the last kites on earth, rather make my own outta an old rain mac and fishing line!!!!
  20. mwahahahaha, nah you wont, I'll be joining you lol
  21. Hey y'all, would just like to apologise for all the minging weather, it's obviously my fault as my new kite has arrived today!! wahooo!
  22. Hey I have your back a little on this one Marc, any item listed for sale upon these forums where there is no certain specifications as to what you have to describe about must be enlisted as full and in detail as best as possible to ensure that everyone on both ends of a sale is happy with what goes through in any transaction. I would have to agree that it was a poor and mis fortunate thing for this to happen to you and a bad act on behalf of 'captain caveman'. I have sold items up on here a few times and never had any problems with anyone as I do try my best to be as accurate as I can. No one likes disappointment, whether they're the seller or the buyer. Now, upon learning about the unfortunate events shared on this thread, don't you think it might make a little sense just to try and takes things up with the Forum Moderators to ensure a safer, more improved system for the sale of good via this website? I'm sure that all discussions will be read and adhered to nicely enough for them to come to some sort of agreement. Well that's my views anyway!
  23. Epic session at Rhosneigr today. Awesome winds a little gusty but nonetheless marvellous. First ever smurf session there, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Got on really well considering it was only my second ever kitesurf session!! Got more than 15 ft accross the water this time!
  24. I advise you stick to Rhosneigr, it's awesome @bartie, What time you getting to Rhossy for? Me n Gizmo will see you there!
