  1. After having the board I think I learnt to POP....sort of. I went back to my T5 for a quick session and it really highlighted how good the Monk is in the chop. Im not that good but love the board. Also think it may be the furthest travelled board as it has been to the Falkland Islands for a (very cold) session!
  2. No it doesnt, still a four line kite. IT IS NOW SOLD
  3. It moves the attachment point for the leash from above the bar to under ther bar.
  4. I have for sale my 9m Naish Cult 2008 + Bar. I learnt on this kite and am selling as I have upgraded to 2010 Cults. The kite has 2 small repairs to the canopy where there were a couple of nicks. Has been there for 18 months with no problems and doesnt affect performance. The bar has 25m lines and has been modified with a naish mini 5th line kit. It is worn but there is plenty of life left in it. Also included is the original manual and repair kit. £250 inc P&P Good stable beginner/intemediate kite that took me from boardstarts to jumping and beyond.
  5. 3m Flexifoil Blade III on a bar with wrist strap safety. The lines are brand new Ozone 25m only used once. In good condition, selling as havent flown it for 2 years. Looking for £80 inc P&P few pics atttached.
  6. So i havent been in the water since Nov and am itching to get out. Normally kite ast Calshot but wind not in correct direction so im thinking of making the (3Hr!) trip to Greatstone as it looks good for NE. The wind looks ok (ish) averaging 14-15Kn so should be alright on my 12m So my questions are Is it ok to kite on an outgoing tide? (aside from the long walk back) Will i get a bit extra wind from sea breezes? Best place to park? Thanks all
  7. Thanks guys (enjoy egypt colin, the naish bar i bought off you is going strong!)
  8. Going to Abu Soma on 9th Oct with my girlfriend. Will we need any form of wetsuit or will rash vest and Boardies be ok? Would also consider a thermal rash vest as an inbetween option (can anybody recommend one?) Cheers
  9. Weigh up the cost of taking your board...or hiring one for the week. I Know i'd prefer mine. Think Thomsom are only £15...thats what it says on the website, if not ill be a bit miffed http://flights.thomson.co.uk/en/flywithus_2688.html (im going Abu Soma Oct) Just read it again as £15 each way...still not bad

  11. Thanks for the advice, The women on the phone didnt even know what water skis were. The ski kit is free if it is below the 20Kg baggage limit ie you can have more than one bag but total weight still the same. Its a bit ridiculous really. For once Thomas Cook seem to be the airline of choice as they charge £35 for an additional 32Kg of Kite Kit..shame they were booked!
  12. Off to Ras Sudr end of the month and am just booking my kit for the flight. The airline want about 300 quid if it weighs more than 15Kg and 90 quid if it is less than 15 Kg!! What are my options...these prices were saying that it was golf equipment! Do i stuff it all in my bag and take the board as excess or take the lot and try and blag it at the airport. (then repack in double quick time if required at the check in desk)! Seriously though what to do? its almost cheaper to buy another ticket! An ironic quote from their website... 'We would like you to be able to practise your sport while you’re away too. That’s why Lufthansa has special excess baggage rates for sports bags.'
  13. Bump..any offers?
  14. Best 55CM Bar and lines off my 07 Waroo. Fairly well used but in good nick. Lines are very good / depower rope slightly frayed but lots life in it. Selling as am moving onto Naish Kites. £100 inc P&P
  15. PM Sent VERY interested.
  16. Was after a bit more info on Perranporth, i know about the restrictions but was wondering about conditions. Going to be there for a week staying in holywell bay. I am at the stage where i can waterstart 4/5 times and (sort of) stay upwind. However this is all on nice flat, waist high water! My question is will the waves be too much for me and am i guna take a beating. Can always take the landboard i suppose but getting on the water is far more important as missing it and need to practice. Cheers
  17. A mate has a kite which i think is a Blade Beast, its definitely a blade kite though. He got it a while back thinking he might get into kitesurfing but never has! Its an 8M and was wondering what people know about it..How's it fly, safety etc and would it be ok for somebody who has just got up on his board (me). Or should i be steering clear of winds that require an 8M kite anyway!! Seriously though what are blades, specifically the beast, like as kites? Cheers
  18. Thanks for the info. I use hudsons field as my parents live there. but want to find somewhere with cleaner winds as the gusts usually put me on my face!! Thought the beack would offer a softer landing for my grid!! Think ill check port solent out tomorrow afternoon. So if you see somebody face down it will prob be me
  19. Just started landboarding and am looking for beach within sensible drive from Bordon and this looks perfect. I know about the restrictions but for weekdays/evening is it good? What are the members like? Would apprciate any info or recomendations for sites (is port solent good?) Cheers
