  1. awesome stuff, you deserved it
  2. Ready Steady Go By Paul Oakenfold i think
  3. If you go into a loop as soon as you send it, with plenty of power it's gonna be really powerful an pull you as the kite goes down. if you do these half heartidly its most likely to hurt when you land if the kite hasnt reached the top again. if you loop when you reach the top of your jump, the loop will not have as much power however it can sometime drop or pull you near your landing making you off balence. either way you learn theres no "safe" way. Looping on lands pretty dangerous. my best advise would be to commit, try it first on a medium sized kite in low winds just so you get the feel of the loop then try it on small kites in higher winds

Looping on lands pretty dangerous. It clicked for me in 20mph or so on my 8m doing average loops by going straight into it. a big gust came in an i just went for it in the gust, the kite got the the top and i had to start down looping it to stop it overflying. this gave me a really controlled landing. my best advise would be to commit, try it first on a medium sized kite in low winds just so you get the feel of the loop then try it on small kites in higher winds
  5. the safest way to learn is to just go for it. sounds stupid but the loops with more power means the kite gets to the top again an catches you so you get a smoother landing, fast but no big thud.
  6. I recon crash shorts are more important the upper body protection, you land on your bum alot more then you will on your chest and landing on your coxyx makes sitting painful for ages
  7. the winds been awesome for me making it even worse that ive got exams all the time!
  8. Proberly better to ask angus about these but i find them easiest by doing it of hard gippy ground or tarmac. have your kite high to start with, the lower the kite the harder and faster your gonna land. you need quite alot of power, when your going along have the bar out then edge back hard and fast and you should feel the power in the kite, then pull the bar in quickly an pop off. Hope that makes sence
  9. popped jump, bacically a jump with out sending the kite, similar to wake style on water but using a slightly different technique.
  10. love that trev! well worth the wait. Really impressive how everyones progressed so much since then.

  17. 8m gaastra jekyll if its clean, anything else 5m waroo
  18. Try the gaastra jekyll next time your at airboss, absulutly amazing kite and theres a really good deal at the moment. If the demo ones gone try mine.
  19. still got the airwagon?
  20. 8m to 10m bow would be have you sorted i use a 12 and a 8 an that covers me from 8ish to 35:)
  21. the sabre will be much slower then the atom or any bow kites. not as much depower but it will have a better low wind ability. when i flew the 9.5 i could get moving in about 5mph and take it to about 15/20
  22. on the 7m i could get movin in about 20 and take it to 30 gusting 40 and im about 9 stone so the 9m would be around 15ish to 35
  23. can loops will be much eaier on the atom and it will have more depower. might be wrong but i find that bows have better ground handling the arcs e.g self launching. relauncing, landing. ive flown the new atom 7m and loved it as a highwind kite.
  24. corrrr mad day. ended up on a 2.5 rage with 7m lines i was overpowered on the 5m waroo:eek:
  25. i prefere leis for land. much more depower and speed. were i fly most landboards now use leis over foils.
