  1. We had this with the downstairs neighbours. Every morning at 4am give or take 10 minutes. Rather than say anything, we put together a scorecard on a bit of paper and called it Shagstar Superstars. Marks out of ten for Variety of noise, volume, artistic license, duration etc. I nipped downstairs, popped it under the door, knocked and pegged it. Upstairs we heard it all go quiet and then heard a new type of scream. Followed by a horrified 'OH MY GOD!!" It kept em quiet for a couple of weeks at least. Then again this depends whether your neighbours give a monkeys. Ours did but then got back on it after a couple of weeks. God knows why it was always at 4am. She yipped like a terrier. We were moving out anyway.......
  2. Despite any improvements it is STILL.....................WAY...................TOO................................................BRIGHT. Calm it the fuck down my eyes are screaming
  3. Terrible terrible terrible. Horrible whiteness. Daft spacing. If it ain't broke why try to fix it. Very annoying
  4. Congrats Stu
  5. Classic
  6. Too many variables on the approach, bumps, variable friction, body position, drifting off to the side. With the best will in the world you'd only expect to make this 1 in 20. You can apply reasonably accurate physics on a bike jump because you can fairly accurately govern speed and trajectory but not in this scenario surely. Just my tuppence ha'penny
  7. Lifeforms. Superb. Just digging out my copy
  8. My mate rang the Swine Flu hotline.....but all he got was crackling.....
  9. Good day at Gennith yesterday. Steady 16-18mph bang on shore. Sun shining and first stoked session in months. Can hardly walk today. happy times.
  10. PMSL Thanks man
  11. Thanks both, I'm ordering today.
  12. My mate's got a board cheap which has trucks with the springs on either side. The trucks are running way too loose though. I though there's be an easy way to adjust the tightness but there isn't. I've seen on more advanced versions you can compress the egg a bit or move out the springs wider to change the ride but that's not an option on these trucks. No pilot holes and no adjustment available. I took them apart and there's yellow cylindrical rubber shocks in there. Could I just glue something of the same diameter to these (like a few mill thick) and reinsert them to stiffen up the ride? Otherwise is it a case of getting some other shock rubbers? Or something I haven't thought of? Many thanks
  13. That's the one. True to say it's a bit of a walk but not any more than you'd've walked from Rhossilli. It's only the 100 or so yards through the dunes that's a pain. Then it's easy peasy to the flying zone. In an Easterly you can fly at Oxwich Bay. North Westerlies there's Broughton Bay too. This needs a fair walk but it's a beautiful place. I've spent loads of time at Llangennith and have had my best sessions there. The advantage of going past the stream is that even if it's packed with holiday makers they rarely bother to go this far so there's loads of room to let rip. In fairness I'm only usually lugging my board and bags so can imagine the buggy'll be a pain. PM festa and see how he gets on. Happy flyin Rodge
  14. There are restrictions on the beach. For buggying you'll need to go to Llangennith and park by Hillend campsite. Walk through the dunes and turn right. Once you've passed a small beach stream you're in the kiting zone. It's an amazing beach in westerlies. Happy flying and I may even see you down there. Peace, Rodge
  15. Few years in management of foundation companies, piling n the like. Worked with all the major housebuilders. PM me your question. I'll help if I can

I had the same problem. I just stuck em in a vice and hacksawed off the excess. After a bit of filing it was fine. I put the cut end by the truck and I was away.

  23. I think one hour is pretty darn good. Over the years I've had to wait for up to 5 hours for broken bones to be seen and only once did I get seen in under an hour. That day there was a bank siege in town and they were turning all the people away who'd broken a nail or got a little cut on their thumb or stubbed their toe or other stuff that shouldn't even make into A&E. I've got nowt but respect for the NHS. I'm with Nemo. Watch 'Sicko' and thank your lucky stars.
  24. Response re: Aberavon from t'Environment Agency. Rodger One of my colleagues has been to Aberavon beach and taken a sample of the black crud that you described to me. Our biologists identified it as a type of algae. Once I have the report back I will be able to provide you with further information. Regards Gareth M Davies Tel: 01792 325676 Good Session there yesterday though a bit too cross-onshore to get any long runs in.
  25. Off to Staines Friday to see a mate. Anyone knowe any landboarding friendly spots within half an hours drive or so?
