  1. bump for a top notch board!
  2. they are gust sensitive, and if they are anything like the 05's offer virtually nothing in the way of depower, but hey they are C kites
  3. I owned an 8m and 10m 05 Vegas earlier this year, they are ok for landboarding. but due to being old C kites can be aggressive, I started by taking them out in low winds and got a feel for them and intially they did work a treat, but when it was gusty I couldn't kite and the final thing that made me want rid was how they seemed to fall out of the sky more than I would have liked. They are nice kites, and helped to bring me on in landboarding, but have since switched to venoms and not regretted it. that should hopefully answer your question about if they are any good for landboarding
  4. used my 10m once while learning to do board starts in the water, it was pretty windy but it coped really well. when i dived the kite to get going, i got up then straight over my board....next thing i know im being dragged through the water cos i had looped it they are mega quick.
  5. I was at school and remember people saying that something had gone on but I didnt realise quite what. It was only when I got home did I see the footage from new york. I knew it was bad at the time but I think only being 14 the impact didnt really hit, it was only when I went to new york this year and visited ground zero that the actual scope of what had happend did hit me fully. A truly horrific day.
  6. got a 10m and a 13m and would agree with that, its a good choice!
  7. same thing i was thinking
  8. at the moment llandonna looks ok, shouldnt get too busy, I was out there the other week and was only the 2nd time I had seen people kitesurfing there. It does work well on a NE and the weekend is looking good, may even go there myself.......

    Venoms

im also not far down the road (at bangor university) and have 13m and 10m venoms so if you wanted to come down and try your more than welcome
  10. as said a 16m may be a better size for you when looking at the venoms, the 13m is plenty for me when the wind picks up (20mph is the sweet spot) but then im only around 65kg!
  11. got a couple of venoms myself and have to say they are great, fairly quick through the sky, plenty of lift and grunt from them too, helped to bring me on so much in the last few months. They also give you the confidence to try new tricks thanks to their stability. Of the two I have the 13m is my favourite but havent flown the 10m in strong enough winds yet to really comment. Having said all that best thing to do is get out and try some kites and see what suits you the best!
  12. any other thoughts/opinions guys?? any help welcome!
  13. cool, will definetly look into it. just could do with something that can get me going in less wind, as the venoms do take a fair bit until they become fun. anyone else? all thoughts appreciated!
  14. most winds been out in have been high, so used the 10m wich was ok but tbh not great. I do find the 13m pretty slow and I could do with something that has a much improved lower end, as if its not blowing almost 20mph the 13m aint a lot of fun. I have had lessons but will be looking into another one/two possibly just as a bit of a refresher.
  15. Hi guys, got a bit of a dilemma and could do with some help. At the moment Ive got 2 Peter Lynn Venoms (13m and a 10m) and although they are fine I do have certain niggles with them, eg.heavy bar pressure which at first I liked but now its just becoming annoying and I'm finding the turning speed a little bit too slow (although better than previous arcs!). Ive also got a Litewave 136 board but the few times Ive been out seem to have got no where with kitesurfing, just up out the water for a few metres. Ive been told that the flexi atoms are good kites and Im wondering whether its worth swapping board and kites for an updated quiver and board. Im also interested in the EH kites, any new kite I get would be a bow due to learning. Any thoughts would be welcomed, do I stick with my current set up or do I change now and have a fresh go at it and if I do what board/kit would you recommend? Do I need a bigger board? Im just over 65kg so fairly light. More practice is deff needed but Im not that happy with my kit and feel that if I can try some new kit it may help make the process a bit easier. Any help would be greatly appreciated as Im really stuck as to what to do. thanks guys
  16. from memory its 37
  17. Bump! pics to follow at the weekend as being a numpty left the board at university, may also be open to swaps as well, depending on what it is.
  18. Litewave 136 Bought just before christmas last year with the intention of kitesurfing but seemed to have done more landboarding since then so decided its going. Board is in ok condition, the bottom is scratched, nothing that would affect performance though, fins are a little scratched too and have some slight marks in them but I dont think anything to worry about. Would make a good first board for someone as it does the job. Can get pictures, if you want them send me a PM. Looking for around £130 posted, but am flexible on the price. cheers rich
  19. im in Bangor and will possibly be down in at red wharf tonight with my 13m venom, your welcome to come and have a look. if not PM me and we can meet up and I can let you have a look
  20. ok thanks guys will get some tomorrow
  21. Hi guys was out today with my venom 13m and long story short managed to tear the kite in a few places. One rip is around 2cm long and the others are smaller than that but I want to patch them up just to stop them growing as I quite like my kite! So I was wondering whats the best repair tape to get and anything I should be aware of before having a go and fixing it? thanks Ric
  22. this is a great price, if I hadnt bought a V1 a few weeks ago I would snap this up, looks in great condition too!
