  1. thanks for the info guys, ill just tape it.
  2. they are quite simple rips. all in one panel on the back. the panel they are on is the second open vent from the right as as far as i can tell doesnt seem to load at all. because it is on the back im guessing it wont affect the bridles and its not right through. what glue would you suggest dazza? my thoughts are along the same lines as yours, i would like to be able to understand which rips are seriouse and which are not and which can be easilly sewn or not. other than sending it off for £50 plus postage each time. as for sewing what sort of stitch do u use and what is the procedure. i wouldnt want to weaken the kite any more. hears a pic... the middle largest hole is abotu 4cm long http://a656.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/111/l_6ddb85405a883109527640ac10175f07.jpg
  3. i have a few rips in a line in my 10m frenzy 06. my mum has offered to help me fix them using the extra material that came with the kite. i have not yet decided weather to let her touch it yet but if she was going to could anyone help me with the procedures you take? do u just sew the patch rght on top or do u cut out the area and patch it etc? Thanx Sam
  4. the blade III 4m was my first propper kite. its nice and fast round the window and very lifty on the tighter brake setting. im flying it in my avatar in winds less than 20mph, just.
  5. haha cheers, not the best for ankle support, but when u have to cross a marsh they're the easiest thing to wear. i think they compliment the background aswell.
  6. i recently bought a frenzy 10m, after flying a blade III 4m for nearly a year. from flying the frenzy, one thing i miss is the pull on the turning side of the bar when you re-direct - im guessing this is because of the low bar pressure - when jumping with the blade, i always feel safer because i can feel the power more through my arms, whereas with the frenzy, most of it comes through the chickenloop/harness. has any1 else had this experiance? could it be because im not used to flying a depowerable yet or will i never like it? does anyone else prefer handles because of this?? Thanx, Sam
  7. http://a315.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/7/l_2b4d1a110c81a7e27b76d3bd7da69e52.jpg while jumping in good old northumberland. and another from the same day. i didnt take the pics, but they're of me, so they're my best pics http://a238.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/36/l_4b272203b3499c8f1985c6f6e3c6099d.jpg
  8. I live quite a distance from many of my decent kiting spots for landboarding and many miles away from the Leas (south shields, north east). And seen as im too young to drive, and the only way to go a few miles down the coast (over the tyne though) on public transport takes at least an hour i have decided cycling would be the best option. but how would i get all my stuff there? What i want to know is: Would it be possible to cycle with the landboard strapped to the clips on the Frenzy 06 backpack and would it hold. Would i need anything else like bungy chords? i have seen pics of people holding their snowboards onto their backpacks but i understand that snowbards are alot lighter and have less bits to get in the way. Any suggests would be appreciated Thanx Sam

    Dyson game.

wow, i member playing this game like 2 years + ago. level 25 is possible to do and can be done in 23 moves. it takes a lot of setting up though. Any of u completed the grandmaster levels (theres a drop down menu on the bottom left)
  10. i like flying unhooked with handles as u can really swing your legs back to get extra height.
  11. i get £100 a month for working and £40 if me folks to buy everything (but not kites) such as clothes and to spend on transport and stuff. i spose im quite luky then.
  12. i have a paper round (30mins mon-sat(1hour)) and a milk money collecting round (2hours on one night) i get £12 for the papers and £13 for the milk money plus tips (cant w8 till crimbo). so, atm im doin nicely for money.
  13. never flown in seriousely high winds but i like jumping in high winds cos u dont have to do much to get pulled high.
  14. i just use ma phone to music, and the journey is mostly on the metro. its more the strange looks from people that get me as i have gotten the metro wiv ma stuff for a few stops before and every1 just seems to stare... also, i have had trouble with chavs who no me on the metro b4. Sam
  15. i got mine a few weeks ago, first attempts got about 7000 atm my record is just over 9,000. im only 15 so give me time... how do u do it with your fingers, to get it goin i recon u have to get it goin about 2000rpm and cant do that with just fingers... i live the way, when the record holder gets it over 16000 he shakes like hes tiny. the force must be imense at that speed! Sam
  16. i have an abnormally far back hair line and veryfait eyebrows. So when i have my hair short my forhead appears abosolutly mahooosive, therefor i have mine middle lenght. just covers my forhead and ears.
  17. any of u travel on public transport for long periods of time to get to places, e.g 1hour+. i dont like the idea of sitting by myself on a bus wiv a landboard and kites to watch for that long.
  18. lol, it aint easy for a kid to buy and transport a buggy without being able to drive, i spose it depends on how nice/busy your parents are.
  19. yeah i spose ur right, started this post just to see how many people are in my position. i spose it has got a bit deep and pointless now, anyway, what kites do u younger people fly.
  20. looking to get a second hand depower though wiv ma b/d/crimbo money. cant w8 for those easy 20ft jumps. plus getting to half decent flying sites is hard. it was ok with my beamer but as im flying in higher winds with my blade (nothings been to strong so far:cool:) i cant find suitable places big enough to board and jump. and if i get a depower it will probs be up to my folks to give me lifts everywhere...
  21. erm, the newcastle in the north east of england (the gerodie type) How did most of you get into kiting. i was introduced by a m8 who had heard of it but eventually never got into it. my first kite was a beamer 2 2.5m (got it nov last year for ma b/d:D )and now i have a blade III 4.0 which i bought in feb (thats what i was flying in the jump. any of use got msn? i would like to meet young kiters and just find out how people are getting on in such a new sport. pft, im so jealouse of those people with the kiting family type who can use their expensive kites, i wish i could work for more money for more kites. grrr Sam
  22. just joined forum, and wana know how many people under 16 are into kiting? i started one year ago when i was 14 and still dont know any enthusiastic kiters my age where i live. Sam
