if you are going to flag then you can hire the gear there but i would take your own harness . its only 10 mins from town and if you went a bit further down the road you will get a great beach that is a bit quieter (but no rescue boats). as for kite pubs the main one is just off the main street in Corjelleo up in the bar area when you go up the stairs look over too the right about 2 oclockish and you will see the surf bar ( big TV with surf vids on all night so you should not miss it ) the is also a small coffee shop where guys meet in the morning before going out its just up from the bars on the side street . most mornings the wind can stay lame till about 10 am so plenty of time to get ride of the hangover

why not go to your local kite shop with your harness and try on a few vests while wearing your harness - then you will find one that suits

it is very hit and miss when it comes to prices these days - you could look at ebay and see what other kites of the same type go for and that will give you an idea what you will get . if you are gong to put the stuff on ebay make sure it ends after 7pm on a thursday as for some reason that is the most profitable day

a way to remember how your kite was set up the last time you used it is to do what i did to a few of my land kites - use small cable ties or elastic bands near the knot on your lines - then you dont have to try and remember which knot you used last time. as said above if you have never had a lesson then get one it will save a lot of time and pain ,as being dragged along a beach might look funny but it is not. and yes there are alot of videos out there some are good alot are crap . you dont say what kite it was you got so have a look at the makers web site for info

if you do a search and look at some of the early passenger flights pre 1940's they did weigh the passengers . even then they did not let a females size be known. in those good old days of the 1990's it was free to take sports kit like golf clubs and skis now they are just screwing everyone for money

never tried the go pro but I do have the ATC3k helmet cam and it works fine you will find that due to the waterproofing on these types of camera that the sound quality is a bit low - as in muffled

if anyone is thinking of kitesurfing in the lake district remember that you dont do it up the main street of cockermouth

sealskinz do a few types of hat that are windproof and waterproof i just wear a neoprean hood

use a kag canoe top great for keeping the wind off and stops chill beter than an under top i find

got a pair of fisher snow blades that are a bit longer than normal a great short option loads of edge and twin tip

as said above if the wind reports are low or the nearest web cams show rain then a lot of the guys from glasgow would not waste their time going down . most of the summer you will normally find at leaste a few guys there at the most ive seen 10 to 15 kites at barrasie and it was not crowded as there is lots of room

if you want full waterproof and dont want to spend 2k then why not go for a divers camera like the nikomos. its a nikon can be got on ebay cheap and you get slr quality without spending lots of cash .Oh and its a film camera so you even get real photos -

Hi Guys, Im off with mates to a small town just outside Benidorm, called Calpe. Im packing a couple of kites with me but wondered if there was any kite surf schools in the area for one of lads, hes wanting to learn but im not going to be the one to teach him bad habits! Ivd had a good search on the net but nothing is coming up for anything that close, so i wondered if anyone here had been to the area. thanks A.

Well its October and for some reason the wind has not been great up north - so what do we do buy a BIG kite .Well 9.9 meters Slingshot twin skin But for some reason i cant get it to fly .I wonder if the wind is just too low at 5 Any idea ??
