  1. I've not started landboarding yet with my kites, although i'd like to so this may be a stupid question but how do you know how far you have travlled in a session?
  2. I did notice that but i just couldn't handle a rasta kite, my mates got a rage in rasta and wishes he didnt, otherwise i would have gone for it.
  3. yeah, i have seen a few 10.5m blade III around but i think that might be a bit too power and from what ive read has a similar wind range to the 8.5 if not smaller and its not gonna cost much more if i went for a blade IV so guess i'll probably get that then i must refrain from buying any kiting related kit for at least a year
  4. yeah i guessed that, i remember seeing quite a few before xmas but not many recently. I guessed it was due to the summer. Thats why im considering a new one
  5. Hi, Ive been kiting since the summer last year and am likeing the blades. From what ive heard blades seem to get released yearly, I was just wonder if there are any plans for Blade V's or not and if there is when they are likely to be released. I'm just asking realy because im looking for an 8.5m blade and have been unable to find a blade III and not realy wanting to spend the money on a blade IV and thought prices might come down if the blade v was released Thanks
  6. I would love to say i'll have it but i think it will be too powerful and would get hardly any use
  7. i did see some videos once of people doing this, looked like great fun
  8. I've been trying some static jumps in 15-20mph winds but people have said take it to the top, then use the brake lines to bring it straight down then take it up quickly, somtimes it does work well but most of the time i struggle to get the kite to go up fast after using the brake lines to bring the kite down a bit, sometimes it will even come all the way to the ground even though i started pulling on the main lines when it was a few metres in the air. How do i get the kite to go back up quickly.
  9. well thanks for the ideas guys, next time im out i'll have another try, hopefully it wont take me too long to get the hand of it
  10. i was probably slightly lower than 10 and 2 o'clock, i forgot about that and i'll try soon im sure What type of jump would is "esier" and better for beginners, if any?
  11. Ive been flying my blade IV 4m for about a month now, geting on well with it, scudding and generally getting used to it. It was reasonably windy today (not sure on the wind speed) but i think slightly stronger than ive ever taken it out before but i seemed to cope well. I decided to try jumping, first i tried a pendulum jump which to start with went well, but as i jumped i got pulled in the direction of the kite quite fast, is this normal or was i just doing it wrong, taking the kite to the side, running that way and slightly back while turning the kite to go in the other direction then taking it up to the zenith, there was quite a lot of lift but i was unprepared for the jult in the direction the kite was going and let go and rolled on the floor (thank god for kite killers) The second time i tried the other type of jump ive read about where i stand still, bring the kite in fast and then straight up and jumping when i feel the pull, this did take me quite high, a couple of metres maybe, i kept hold of the kite this time but didnt land on my feet and ended up skidding along the floor and geting a few grazes. My probably at the moment seems to be landing on my feet so does anyone have any tips for doing this. Thanks for any repsonses
  12. There is air born kites in blue water, if they dont have stuff in stock they will try and get it for you most of the time and most of them in there seem quite knowledgable of all things kiteing
