    2.5m Pepper

As it says in the title. Long story, but the canopy is in absolutely perfect condition, although a couple of the bridle points have been professionally repaired. Basically, my bro gave it to me with a knot in the lines, line snapped 2nd time out & tore the bridle. So brand new condition, but with some bridle fixes (better than the original IMHO) Kite only. Perfect small starter kite or high-wind, low cost engine. PM if interested, pics on the weekend if you want them. Will update with colour then also etc... I mostly live on racekites.com under the name Daytripper but have traded on here too. ta marc
  3. good price there.
  4. thanks a lot mate - that's my kiting heritage right there..! Methinks I shall be buying one soon... marc
  5. yo I'm considering a trip to Bermuda with my ladyfriend. Am hoping to get a few kitesurfing lessons in between all the high-level sitting on my ar$e I plan on doing. Have emailed both places that advertise on line, but have had no response so far.... Anyone know of any good schools in the area..? ta marc
  6. wow - and on the 5th google search page, I found plans. But I'm lazy... are they still commercially available..?
  7. hi there - I kmow I'm dredging up a REALLY old thread here, bit does anyone know where I can get may hands on a Speedwing (or plans to build one)..? Was my first delta kite ooo, about 15 years ago and it was awesome...! ta marc
  8. best kite ever. good luck with the sale
  9. A wee update on this... I contacted the kite seller (not the eBay re-seller) through this forum. He got back to me after a few days apologising for the confusion & immediately stuck a set of Spirit-of-the-Air handles & a set of lines in the post. They arrived last week & are in great nick. The description in the auction was a misunterstanding between himself & the reseller - he could have walked away but instead made good on the deal. So, Nick G, many thanks, I really appreciate the gesture. As for u-profit, the re-seller, they immediately offered a refund on the goods, so no complaints there.
  10. oops sorry - meant refund, not discount...! Gonna wait & see what my mate says, and gve the seller a chance to answer back throught the forums... ta marc
  11. thanks for the support guys. The re-seller - u-profit - has offered a refund. I've PM'd the seller on the forum (he advertised the Heliums being on eBay through this site), and he said 'all lines' meant leader lines. So that came from the direct from the owner of the kites - he must surely have known hat he was talking about as he has plenty of posts on here & Racekites. I've PM'ed him again asking for an explanation & will post more as it happens. So far the re-seller has offered a discount but I'm miffed that they were given such a misleading description. Will wait to see if the guy gets back to me throught the forum before & name - he's got to be given th opportunity to talk back privately before anything else. Re. the refund - I bought the kite for a mate so will wait to see what he wants to do. This is embarrassing to me as I thought I got him a bargain & now it's not really... ta marc
  12. here ya go! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120154648418 The re-seller has offered a refund, which is OK, but I still feel pretty miffed. Will wait for the actual seller to get back to me through this forum before I go further keep opinions coming please! ta mrac
  13. Hi all I bought a U-Turn Helium 3.5 off the Bay for a mate. I was advertised on here & FF also. The auction clearly states 'comes with all lines etc.' so I was expecting lines & (possibly) handles. Now it turns up kite only! The kiter used a 3rd party seller on eBay so some miscommunication might be the cause, but I wouldn't have bought if the kite wasn' RTF. I've contacted the eBay seller but what else can I do..? The seller (a forum member) has gotten back to me, saying the 'all lines etc' means 'comes with line leaders.' I feel ripped... it's like bidding on a car described as 'having 4 wheels', and have 3-wheeled car turn up. Upon questioning the seller says the '4th wheel' is the steering wheel. The seller used this site & Racekites to show the kite was on eBay Opinions..? 'Bay auction: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120154648418
  14. It's going to a good home mate And there was no sniping - just old-fashioned eBay last minute bidding...
  15. the 3,5.. is it rtf? handles..? killers?
  16. Please mate - I find it a bit of a pain sometimes.... ta marc

    Bego 600

Up for sale, kite only. The power line leaders need swapped out - shouldn't cost more than £10 or do it yourself with some fancy knotwork. Other than that, great nick, no damage or repairs, in the best colours too. Pics here including one of the power leaders, one shorter than the other. Power rings fitted. £200 delivered.
  23. 'tis a good price for a great piece of kit. Good luck with the sale.
  24. flown the Blade III 4.9, IV 4.9 & 6.5 & Bego 600. The IV 6.5 is top of the list, then the Bego but little to choose between them. The Bego is much better in low winds & has lots of float but the Blade 6.5 is easier to fly out of the bag & has terrific flying characteristics - masses of float & the cross bridle gives turning speed & plenty of pop. IV 4.9 is very nice in those higher winds (poppy, quite floaty) - the III gives massive jumps but plenty of nasty surprises - these have bee ironed out in the IV series.
