If youve thought about buying a riot, im pretty sure its because youve heard that the riot is the most powerfull traction kite Ozone have made. and its true. however. I was thinking to myself after having my 3m samurai that i wanted more power in a kite and with more lift. so was intending to buy a 5m riot. Which in my opioun is the best riot size they havemade. The 9m i bought 2nd hand for the price of a 3m was a good deal no doubt but the power of it is reidiculious, and made me wish i bought a 5m. i found that in low winds you have to seriously work the kite to keep it in the air. and thats recreational. Boarding and buggying with it in below 12 mph winds is near impossible. above that 12 mph wind speed. the riot is way too powerfull i found. this kite seriously should only be bought by proffesionals who know how to work one, wat condition to use it in and how to use it affectivly so it is stable. For my 2nd kite bought i found it was a dissapointment for what i was after. However have learned from my mistake of not trying before buying. Dont get me rong this is a powerfull kite and someone who needs something like this in a traction kite, look no further. but. unless ur planning to pull some real sketchy stuff dont bother. Get the 5m it flys easyer in low winds and still can pull like a train in high winds. Its a cross of a 4.5 fury and a 4.9 blade i find the 5m riot. i have only tried the 2 sizes but have alos heard that anything above the 5m riot is too powerfull for interemidiates and begginers. but anything below and the 5 is a all rounder.
