    Argyll/ Bute

Alright People, At work just now and don't have time to search through previous threads, girlfriend suggested a few days in a cottage near Bute, possibly i'm not a romantic but i immediately thought, mmmm, kites. Anyone know if the area is good??? Kev.
  2. Hi, I'm in Leith working nightshift on a boat, just wondering if anybody is going out in the area over the next day or two, gotta be done since i've got all my gear in the car and it beats sleeping. Wasn't sure if i was gonna have to go a wee bit along the coast or not coz of the wind direction, gullane isn't too far, cheers for any help, Kev.
  3. Couldn't type till i'd wiped away the tears, excellent!!!
  4. Gotta agree with everyone who says wear a lid. I've been snow boarding in France for a week at a time for the last two years, all of it on piste, caught my heal edge several times and wasn't wearing a helmet, nothin serious but definitely pain i could have done without. Throws yer confidence aswell. Hopefully going somewhere this year and definitely gonna get a lid. Any recommendations for one, can ye get a good quality one for under £50. The one i use on the water isn't up to much. Cheers.

    Trucks????

Its the grub screw that holds the shaft from the wheel thats broken(hex no longer there), i might be able to drill it out but theres a good possibility of damaging the threads. Just thought i'd see what was available before i do this.

    Trucks????

Hi, I've got a mbs core 16 with matrix channel trucks, one of the trucks is f**ked and since i'm mainly on the water now i grudge payin £50-60 to replace it. Any cheaper but decent quality trucks out there that will fit the board? Cheers, Kev. And yes i am a tight jock before anyone says it.
  7. Ha Ha, brings back some old memories. And some recent ones, keep at it.
  8. Budgie says what. Bumpity bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. OOH was prayin ye were gonna save it. Nice vid though
  10. Alright Mate, I stay in Broughty Ferry which is probably the beach yer talking about, not really big enough for my lack of co-ordination but some bits are alright, there is a grass area in Monifieth which isn't bad(to lazy to drive any distance) which myself and my mate normally go down to. Yer best bet if ye've got a car is St Andrews, only 30mins drive and sooo much better. If ye see anyone strugglin with a blade3 4.9:eek: then pop over. Saying that if ye see anyone with a bullit/blade/north vegas/strike2/yarga then its probably me or my mate, only seen a few other people around this area with kites. Kev.

    Which Blade???

Cheers Everyone(except Biff), Yer banter is about as funny as a broken tail bone. 4.9 was sounding good to me but is there a big difference between the 4.0 and 4.9 coz as Biff said i can use his 4.0 whenever i want.
  12. I know this questions probably been asked once or twice before but i´ve got a bullet 3.5 and have been using it to attemt landboarding for a year or so, also use it for recreational aswell. Thinkin about picking up a blade and after reading a few horror stories have decided to avoid the bigger ones. Kinda torn between the 4.9 and the 6.6, does anybody have any recommendations and what sort of winds would i need to be flyin in to get decent jumps with the 4.9, I weight roughly 12 stone. Cheers for any response, Kev.
