  1. Just dropped in to say Hi, Life is still crazy so no time for flying but still have all my gear so hopefully one day i'll be back on the beach. Well done on the PB simon.
  2. Martin, Seymore, Mole.....strange I'm still alive, just can't remember the last time my kites saw the light of day. The building project that has taken all my time up is realy taking shape now, even using the new bedrooms. Will hopefully get out to play this summer.
  3. Have sent e mail. Hope it helps, they say a picture says a 1000 words, mine might say about 10.
  4. what is your e mail carl i have had a go at making pics
  5. Can you use some kind of threaded bar and spring set up so the pressure is adjustable. Hard to describe without pictures.
  6. Well after 4000 bricks, 600 blocks, about 10 tonnes of concrete and 7 months of not flying my kite the roof has started to go on the extention this week. Only another couple of months and i might be allowed out to play again. Winter easterly winds when you can't feel your hands you can't beat it!
  7. Hi all thanks for the text carl but i'm working sat night so will be in bed for most of sunday. Realy must make the effort to get a day out, the last few months seem to of been to much work and not enough play.
  8. Morning all, well Ireland was a bit dismal only made it to the beach once in a week for a little static fly. The beach must of been about 7 miles long the only problem would of been there was only about 10m of hard sand when the tide went out and loads of holyday makers wanting to play on that. All in all had a good time though and the guinnis did go down well. Simon i always use my 3m little devil in high winds, it is very stable so i would amagine the 2m would be good to learn with.
  9. Will do. Already got my name on a nice cold pint of guiness.
  10. Building is going slowly but getting there. It makes a nice change for the sun to be out. Will put kite in but can't fit the buggy in anywhare she might spot it.
  11. Dose anyone know what the kiting is like in south east ireland. Heading off there on saturday for a week and didn't know if it was worth throwing a kite or 2 in the car.
  12. Wow Carl I thought you were having a laugh when you text me. I had been at work thinking they are mad if they go out in this rain. Well done mate you know how to set the standards. P.S. I'm off work and it's raining again, that makes a change.
  13. Give the building inspector lots to do he might leve me alone. Radon sumps and Radon Barriers It's all a big headache. When i am done i'm not living in the old part of the house it sounds to dangerous!
  14. Thanks for the text on sunday carl, sorry i could not make it sounds like i missed another good day. I'm still dodging the rain showers trying to build this extention, it is slow progress at the moment, lay 10 bricks have an hour off for rain you know how it is. Anyway i will have to down tools and have a day out soon.
  15. Looks like you boys had a good weekend! Not sure about the male bonding tho (Belly slapping that is a new one on me).
  16. I thought you were going to silverston not wales.
  17. The stream that runs down my garden has flooded in to next doors garden (couldn't of happened to a nicer bloke). Have any boats been sank paul if the moorings are to tight.
  18. Well it looks like i will have to change my sig to a slightly tarnished home made bug, don't think i could get it to shine like carl's even if i spent 100 hours polishing it! Looks good mate it will be a shame to get it dirty at the beach. A quick cruse through capachino creek would do the job.
  19. In your dreams old boy!
  20. Just heard on the radio that cleethorps is having a kite festaval this weekend (not that i have time to go) had anyone else heard about this?
  21. I spent an hour at the quarry the other day just to get some sand. My car is still plastered with muck. Looks like i have been rallying.
  22. Page 2 and i was the last to post. Is no one out there. Guess what it's raining again so i can't get on.
  23. I can tell you about nagging, all i get is you can get that extention finnished before you go flying again. At least i might be able to suggest a family day out to the beach so Jo can sit and read her book while the kids play in the dunes. It will be a loss if you give up Paul we have had had some good sessions, not just kiting.I might have to take you up on one of those boating invites.
  24. Concrete and blockwork underground are done. Seems to of come to a stand still again now tho. I think if i got sun burn like martin it would be a good excuse to spend the rest of the week in the bar.
  25. Feels like i have alredy given up it's been that long. Kites are in the garage tho waiting for when i have got time. You know you don't want to sell everything paul.
