Hi there,
I have been brought up in the fixed bridle era, when depower never existed. I then stopped kiting for a while and have recently got back into buggying from a 4-5 year break.....
I have gone headfirst into Fixed Bridle kites again (as thats what i know) and have not looked back....
I have not yet found a decent article explaining how depower works.
How is it that yesterdays session, i and other fixed bridlers were struggling with anything above a 3m, and up goes a 12m Phantom???? I questioned myself and its either he has a screw loose, or i am seriously nieve to the understanding of "depower".
I understand this kite is "so depowerable", but at the end of the day you have a 12m sheet in the air, as opposed to 3m??? I mean, 12m of bin bag i reckon id be in trouble in that wind!
Could somebody explain how depower really works?
