Strops Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 hi all im wanting to beef my flexi buggy up abit. i would love to but some bigfoots on the back (at the moment they are the midi wheels) is this possible or not? any advice welcome aswell. or would i be better buying a full race buggy and selling the flexi cheers Jamie Quote
pete9586 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Jamie, i wanted to do exactly the same thing as you but advised not to. by the time you add the cost of your flexi plus bigfoots etc, it will not be far off buying a ready made purpose designed buggy. i sold my flexi and bought a v-max with bf's, cadcats and swan neck and only had to add £150. the flexi, although an excellent light buggy wouldn't be as strong or comfortable. i have absolutely no regrets and am glad i listened to the advise. there was a v-max monster on ebay a few days ago, starting at £300 or bin £450, but no one bid. Hope this helps. cheers Pete Quote
Adam Stanley Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 I'd also go with a Libre, the flexi is great for what it was designed for, but it's not a race buggy. if you do want to put bigger wheels on the back definitely get the wider axle though, otherwise turning corners will be amusing! Libre prices went up quite sharply a year or so back but you can prob get a second hand one one here for a reasonable price, obviously chec it first tho. Quote
Strops Posted July 1, 2008 Author Report Posted July 1, 2008 thanks for the advice guys. il think about buying a full race buggy any good reccomendation's except the above libre's which have already been mentioned. Quote
GrolschUK Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Someone had their tornado for sale a few days ago on here, they are pretty sound buggys. Quote
