debster Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Hi Anyone got any ideas where I could get an R-Sky Kite Bag? Seem to be having trouble tracking one down. Cheers Deb Quote
TassieDevil Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Would love to get my hands on one. Can't afford it at the moment, tho.. Deb, I'd be very surprised if Jason couldn't get one if U asked, as he has several R-Sky kites for sale. Gary Quote
Jason Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Hey Deb, We did stock them but haven't been able to get them from R-Sky for over a year. Hopefully they haven't removed them from their line. Quote
Jared Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 I'll echo the sentiment to check with Jason first; but if that fails, I wound up ordering mine online from a company in France. And you can have it, when you pry it from my cold, dead hands Edit: I see that he replied while I was typing my reply. I'm not sure if they're making any more, so the trick is to find a store that still has a few in stock from the last time they were in production. Quote
Cesium Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I also heard a rumour that R-sky was no longer making these bags. Jason, if you ever manage to get them back in stock, I'd be very interested in buying (another) one. Quote
Oooo Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 where you live jared I'M ON MY WAY WITH 45 MAG IN HAND !!!! the wait for you to go cold is gunna be the killer !! regards mike Quote
sinbad Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I was wondering what the difference was in the bags so did some searching and found these. Maybe Jason can put some light on it as it looks like the HQ is not available at the moment but the R-sky now is. this is the r-sky The new bags from R Sky are all the Rage. I have fit as many as 25 kites in it! Lam has been using one to travel the world, with never a broken kite or spar from TSA tossing it around from USA to UK to France to Perth. Lots of pockets for line sets in an external zippered pocket with lots of extra pouches for everything right down to your wallet and cell phone or iPod. Heavy duty construction, well worth the value. HQ Each of the HQ Kite Bags pictured are designed to hold 8 kites; however, you may fit as many as 12 if you choose. Generous interior pockets provide storage for line sets, spare rods, and anything else that you wish to store. The design is similar to the original Tramontana quilted bag. Length: 180 cm / 71 inches Note: As of 2009, the Padded Kite Bag is no longer being made by HQ. They hope to be able to offer it again, in 2010. Quote
debster Posted August 28, 2009 Author Report Posted August 28, 2009 Hi I contacted a kite shop in US that had these 2 bags listed (and as you say HQ bag supposed to be re-realeased next year but they had no r-sky bags in stock when I checked with them (even though it's on their web site ) and did'nt know when or if it would be back in.
