Oooo Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 when you have a prism E2 and a rev sig B series !! what should i look at getting next in the stunt kite range !! when only doing it part time with traction kiting thrown in too !!! Quote
Cesium Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 How about something decent? :tongue2: I jest, I jest... I'd suggest a Deepspace - very, very tricky, extremely well built, and quite tough. Quote
DaveA Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 With all due respect to Adrians suggestion, i think there are too many people that dont quite connect with the DS to guarantee that you will like it, you either love the DS....or you dont. (Adrians a massive Benson fan if you didnt know already :tongue2: ) For a first kite after the E2, id go for something a little more "regular" in its flying style, pehaps a Blue Moon Exile or Muse. Or if you're on a budget i reckon the Flying Wings Silver Foxes are a good buy, although certainly not of the same build quality of the DS or the Blue Moons. Quote
Two Hands Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Hey Wolfie, What do you think you want to do next with your kiting? Is it the team/precision/ballet or more into the freestyle direction? Lets see if we can whittle it down a bit, or we'll be here all day TH Quote
spotter Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 My suggestion would be something that will fly in light winds. If you are into traction and the wind is sub 10knots you sit around waiting to fly something. What a good time to get something that is a light wind flyer while you are waiting for the wind to pick up. Once the wind is up, out come the traction stuff again for some POWER. Quote
nigel Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 I'll second Spotters comments. A light wind kite for those days of almost no wind. I love my little HQ Baby Tana. Quote
TassieDevil Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Ditto to Spotter & Nigel's suggestions. A light wind kite is good fun, Mike. Things happen a little slower, and you've got time to think. The more experienced guys might have something different to say, but I think it's made it a little easier to learn the tricks (and I'm just starting to get the hang of some of those, as U know). I'm very happy with the Silver Fox UL. It's not a true UL I'm told, but it's doing a good job... and the price is great. Gary Quote
Oooo Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 thanks guys ,hey tassie good to see you getting back in to it too ,yes as for what next i have had the pleasure of flying with jason (briskites) steve an me with my rev and must say i did enjoy it ,ALL tho i'm just a player at the moment tho and my E2 is a entry level i still have fun with it so will have to have a look at something higher end hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm DUF!!!!! BEER!! UL yes me thinks will have too have a look into that thanks guys Quote
steve_hobart Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 wolfie, Blue Moon Kites (Ken Mcneill) build absolutely first class quality kites that fly very well. I would reccomend them highly. I have an Exile UL and a 61/49 matching set and I am VERY happy with them. The quality is fantastic - in another world to your Prism. The Muse is a good choice and not a bad price - it is very tricky and fly's very well. Website at http://www.bluemoonkites.com/kites.htm If you want spend a few more dollars have a look at their Exile. cheers steve Quote
Must86 Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 I have to agree with Steve... you can't go wrong with a Blue Moon. All the Blue Moons are available in an UL version, if you're after light wind flying. The standard Exile will fly comfortably in winds a little less than 5mph, while I have flown my Exile UL pretty easily in winds down to around 1mph. On 100' lines... I had my Prism Ozone out on the same day, and the Exile UL and Ozone have similar bottom ends, but the Exile UL can be flown on longer lines, increasing the wind window considerably. It is also nice to have a kite that comes in your colors, with a personal inscription from the designer/builder. I think the only bad thing about a Blue Moon is the 6-8 week wait from the day you order it... ~Rob. Quote
