m.klinge Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 Ahh ok great The reason I'm asking, I found a nice offer on the imp for my wife, a chickenloop came along with the imp for around 35usd... However I don't plan on using it before I've gotten a solid grip on the kite while on the skikes Thx alot for all the help so far - I'm quite certain it won't be my last question //M Quote
m.klinge Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Posted August 10, 2009 Oh well seems im out of luck - the two places ive ordered the imp for my wife dosnt have it in stock (I hate when they dont update their webshop ) So i went out to try my skikes for the first time yesterday - sadly there was only 2-3ms - so i kinda stood quite firm on the ground, however it seems the skikes arend the best for kiting on sand, they kinda carved alot into the sand Oh and i just bought a scrub full face helmet kinda cheap (around 61 AIUD) - so hoping it will come shortly... I guess ive got allmost all the padding i need - though i could need some decent kneepads ^^ //M Quote
Spartan Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Shame your not in Australia, Our Kite shops are on the ball. Quote
m.klinge Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 Its been a while since my last update Well i was out in around 8ms with my skikes - but sadly they do carve too much into the sand. Wich makes them kinda useless on beaches So i bought a mountain board (Scrub akashi) - mainly to use the rims, tyres and wheels on a pair of selfmade doomwheels It was cheeper to buy this than buying it seperatly So right now im just getting some fun out of mountainboarding - ill be making my doomwheels later this winter My very first time out on the board in decent wind //M Quote

m.klinge Posted March 5, 2011 Author Report Posted March 5, 2011 Hi Spartan Well sadly no I didn't come to a point where I felt I was in control rather than the kite, and nit being able to power slide to slow down is a bummer coming from landboarding. But on the positive side I might take it up again, though i need to look into another lighter setup than my steel rails //M Quote
