Sand-Yeti Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Wow! I'm being spoiled today. I even had one of the Shia girls all wrapped up like black walking tent and with just a letter box slot to look through come to my office. She gave me a box of Butter Toffees. "I thought you Shias don't celebrate birthdays", I said. Reply was something like, "Well you are always good for a laugh, so rot your teeth on this lot". In the shower this morning, I kept singing the Beatles song from Sgt. Pepper's 'When I'm sixty-four'. -- I don't why!!!!! Check out the lyrics: http://home.att.net/~chuckayoub/When_Im_Sixty-Four_Lyrics.html I don't feel 64. I still have all my teeth except a couple have been crowned because I broke them with a pair of skis back in my late 20's. I still have a thick head of hair although getting quite grey these days. Got out last Friday, banged off 72 kms in my buggy and most of that was in the dunes. Top speed - 58 kph (nowhere near my PB) in my PL. I felt pretty good at the end of the day when some of my mates (less than half my age) told me they were knackered. Luckily, my body is still strong, so will carry on doing wild stuff until the wind blows me away. In this year of living with the age of 64, I resolve to: - Eat less pies. - Kite-buggy as much as I can. - Avoid being rude (hard one that & don't know if I can manage a whole year). - I'm already kind to animals, so I can't add that. Thanks all for the good wishes & for those of you that I haven't met yet, you are a pretty good bunch of cyber mates. On my next trip to the UK, it would be really great to meet you in the flesh. Modified Beatles lyrics: Send me an email, drop me a line, Stating point of view Indicate precisely what you mean to say Yours sincerely, not wasting away Check out this for a laugh: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1TSv5CR6oF0 Quote
