I was wondering about anti freeze for the radiator so I asked vw and they said that they thought the stuff in my rad was good down to -10 but that I should come in and get the anti freeze strength checked. Is this another case of dealer wanting cash or has everyone else done it! Happy trails to those leaving this weekend. Quote

Yeah, I will make the usefull info printable for 2009. beardy - People just put a good concentrate in and had no probs before. Snow and weather will always be stunning. Can easily get to -15 and colder at night add that to the windchill of you driving and thats really cold. At night is where it will probably be the coldest. I really would get it protected as far down as you can, it will be worth the extra few quid rather than a burst block in the middle of Haugastol:( Ok another question...
