Thermal base layers are more important than waterproof coats Lidl / Aldi or others - I don't think we'll be flying if it's raining.

Its well made, great waterproof rating and comfy, the insulation is medium average, you will need several base layers and a fleece. Its not the warmest jacket out there but great value. Loads of pockets and very good fit has the snow skirt etc..

got a large in green "forest", if you are an average or slightly tall go large, if you are a big guy (>15st) go XL.

im a 9,10st 5,7ft 29inch waist im thinkin medium so i got plenty of movement

lee

cheers for all the help again

yo lee - go for a medium at your build, should have good space for movement. You will need a long sleeve base layer or two (thermal), should get one for around £15 (ish), and a micro fleece/body warmer (windproof). The coat alone is never enough! you must get several thermal base layers

gloves - get proper snowboarding ones - £25 (ish) - dakine or burton.

Well I had my first go at hot waxing yesterday (a board not my legs ;) ) I was dubious that I could make it work but it seems to have done a reasonable job. (I did it on the board I'm lending Hank though so if he claims that his board is too sticky and its effecting his jumps it'll clearly be my fault!)

Wax went on fine and I have found that there really is an art in removing the excess wax.

I'm glad I tried it but I need to practise some more before I even think about trying it on the Nobile!

It is hard to get hold of down here as well, I just use the Toko stuff as you can usally pick it up in TSA or Snow and Rock.

Sonic is the man for the Swix stuff, I think he has shares in the company..lol:p

does anyone know where to get the Swix ch7 wax? can't seem to find anywhere that sells it apart from skiracing.co.uk where you have to send a cheque off
