PhAnToM90CF Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 Never seen a kiter covered from head to toe in that much sh!t before! Well i saw some bloke get dragged through a lake sized puddle about 3 times in a row when his kite powered up yesterday at baiter if that counts;) Quote

super.rad Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 haha wonder what the wind speed was Quote
spooky Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Looks like kiting will be band there after ripping the ground up? Those ruts will need filling in, by the grounds man. Fly safe, Jon Quote
lewiss Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 the wind looked pretty fast though, looking at how fast the kite went up. Quote
PhAnToM90CF Posted March 11, 2007 Author Report Posted March 11, 2007 well its nice to know you all think its as funny as i thought:D and yer Tone could be the fastest human plough yet lmao Quote
Garryh92 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Looks like kiting will be band there after ripping the ground up? Those ruts will need filling in, by the grounds man. Fly safe, Jon quite amusing but not surprised we get banned, when you see the ruts they leave behind. Quote
Crob203 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Lol never seen such erratic flying ever! And love the song "are you hoping for a miracle" think he is!! Chris Quote
keishin Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 aww just like flying down at my local park atm (minus the terrible kiting) LOL spooky you need to relax a little. when that field drys you wont see the skid marks any more, besides its on a footy/rugby pitch.. give it a couple of days and the field will be trampled to death. Quote
Storm Chaser Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Looks like they're on a steep learning curve that day! Lovin' the knee scudding. Think they need to realise that if the kite's kickin' your ass then you need to stop sweeping it across the window like a loon and put it away! Quote
Jared1199 Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 and another... shame about the music though. Quote
spooky Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 aww just like flying down at my local park atm (minus the terrible kiting) LOL spooky you need to relax a little. when that field drys you wont see the skid marks any more, besides its on a footy/rugby pitch.. give it a couple of days and the field will be trampled to death. Wrong, leaving drag marks in grass be it long or short grass which gest throden into the mud is one thing. Leaving ruts is another. Also you have to take into account the perception of other people, to those with power or willingness to complain they will see it as vandilism or total disreguard of the facilities that the concils provide, irrespective of what actual short or long term damage there is? Remember some one goes to the effort of maintaining that site, even if it is only for footballers to trash it (who do pay for it) so diliberatly trashing it will not go down well Besides does he/she look in control????? If some one is going to do something a bit stupid, or ride in a bad location at least have the common sense NOT to provide evidence on camera Fly safe, Jon Quote
mrbuggy Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Sadly you are right Spooky. They need to learn to fly the kite before they make a vid of them flying it. Learning how to launch a kite in high winds would be good for a start and a vid showing control and one or two wipe outs would be good not 3 or 4 minuets of out of control mayhem. Wearing helmets is a personal choice so I won't even go there. Quote
brassneck Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 bet the guy lives at home with his mum!!! wouldnt like to have to wash my own clothes after that day out (or take 'em home to thie missus!) ..and.. I second spooky's comments. Quote
popeyethewelder Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 I bet the groundsman was about as happy as your mother was when she saw the state of your clothes Quote
Offshore Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 ... well another ban appears on the horizon then. The sad fact is that a responsible kiter will probably get it in the neck. Quote
boughtonja Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 yer my school grounds guy (least fav person on earth) seems to think that kiting is a lesser sport to football (nutter) and that i shouldnt be allowed to do the odd slide when things get a little ratty. unfortunately he does have the power to get us kicked off even though we have the same rights to be there as the footballers. i think we just need to get the sport more widely accepted. SICKBOY Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 I'll assume that the music for that last clip was chosen by a late twentys ex rave fiend uncle, or those youngsters have a strange taste in happy hardcore come belgian techno that may need some serious help at the institute:D Quote
faster4_tec Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 serious help but seriously funny, made me laugh. I don't think they quite see the point, gettin dragg'd the length of a field on your face doesn't really appeal to me music was very suited. but yes, sad truth is, it looks bad, very bad. problem is they sell kites and boards in argo's, a regular chav could be out making hell for anybody anywhere for as little as £65:( thats for a kite powerful enough and a board with wheels Quote
