Sand-Yeti Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Looking at your average speed, you would have been moving in the buggy for about 5½ hours. Doing it in a standard Flexi bug is also an achievement considering they are not the most comfortable of buggy's to ride long distances in. No wonder you're sore. I notice too you had a good top speed, which is about 57 kph. It must have been a good day based on your average & top speeds. You are obviously very happy with the 8m Access II? Tell us something about wind speed, terrain and wind direction. Looking at the sand on your GPS, I guess you were on a beach. How long is your beach before you have to turn? I do long distances here and if I get 100 kms (60 miles) under the belt in a session I'm usually smiling from ear to ear for a couple of days, so I know where you are coming from. Well done Nolan Quote
nolan Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 I did it on Ainsdale beach which has a run of around 1.2 miles before you have to turn. The wind was pretty much bang onshore, and picked up throughout the day. When I arrived it was blowing around 12mph but had got into the low 20s by the end. I'm delighted with the 8m Access II, I've also got the 4m and the 10m, but I reckon that the 8m is the sweet size. Quote
