popeyethewelder Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Posted September 24, 2007 Great to meet you Carl, Martin, Mrmawalker and the rest of the gang. Looks like this beach is becoming quite popular, my own fault for telling Matt about it! I cant do the 20th because of work commitments, I've had quite a few good sessions on this beach though over the summer so I am not too disapointed Steve. Yeah nice to meet you too Steve....

The tide table looks good for skeg/mabo as well! (you watch, the wind will swing round or become a lot lighter and I'll be wishing again!!)

windjammer1599968715 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 @ simon, you shud come to this vast expance of hard sand one weekend, noticed there was something missing that weekend carl and martin was there it was you and your freindly smile, think a road trip is in order simon before the campsite shuts at the end of october
HOUSE Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 I'd certainly like to check out the secret beach Matt - looks superb in the pics. I'll keep an eye out for the forecasts when everyone is going and see if I can get over. In the meantime am hoping there could be some decent easterlies over the next few days. Work has gone extremely quiet so am hoping I could get away early some days if the weather is right. Trust you to land on your feet and find a woman to fit in with your kiting habit:p ........ beware though - all may not be what it seems:rolleyes: Atavar - the firebee is great - I will have to put some adjuster lines onto the brakes as it would only fly with the lines hooked right up to knots at the handles and at the utmost end of the bridles using my bullet handles/lines. Must send an e-mail to Mannfred - as you said he was great to deal with and posted the kite first class to arrive in next to no time. It will be interesting to try it in a really strong easterly and see how much pull it will generate, but it's proved a good way of testing gusty westerlies to see how strong they are as well. I'm now waiting for a 2m brooza to arrive to fill in the gap to the bullet:D Carl - I haven't tried the C-quad long enough to make any recommendations but it has some serious grunt per square metre so I'm looking to test it out carefully - I've seen one of the Lincoln knobs on strings guys flying these and getting lofted far too high for my likin' Any joy with a small bow or arc yet?
popeyethewelder Posted September 27, 2007 Author Report Posted September 27, 2007 beware though - all may not be what it seems:rolleyes:
