T595 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 So T595, is 2009 the year where you learn to jump? I can jump, i just can't land... Where to tomorrow then T118? Not really good enough for WS unless it swings slightly to a Southerly. PS might be good but not been there for a while & i imagine it's going to be water looged. We could be naughty & go to SS Common? The weather's looking good and the wind is supposed to be SE 22mph. If we're going out can we do it in the afternoon as i'm flat out with packing & cleaning at the moment. Pm me your number again will you, i've lost it (and the number as well....)
Cheryl Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I can jump, i just can't land... Yeah the taking off is never a problem...its the coming back to earth with an almighty thud that the problem......
g0nz01599968659 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Hahaha I am off tomoz for a spot of the ole kite surfing... at least it looks like there's gonna be some wind
martin Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 PS was a wash out today, literally. It's a selection of ornamental ponds interlaced with boggy marshes:(. I wont be going there until it dries out. Good spot for kite surfing Dan, plenty of flat water;). Are you two coming to A09? Think

avspider Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 What's the barest minimum wind direction for Hudsons, anything blowing up the hill i s'pose? Yep anything up the hill, check the map to see exactly where is face's:D IF teh gate is locked go into the carpark before the field and there is a path you can walk straight through on to the field:D
g0nz01599968659 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Martin - dont go to Hudsons this w/e - its a SE or E'ly so its over the houses & down the hill:eek: http://bramblemet.co.uk/(s1zyr3aavijt0hitgqdlbm55)/GetImage.aspx?src=Braws.gif Good sesh on the wet stuff today, I had the place to myself for once... Not a pole hugger to be seen! More of the same tomorrow:D Might pack the hip flask & see if some booze helps keep the blood going to to my fingers! Ordered new dry gloves today. Dan
martin Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Try a couple of the gel handwarmers taped to your arm pit, it'll warm the blood the feeds your hands;). Definately take some navy rum with you to warm up the old cockles. I might go to Witterings on Sunday, cross shore is better than nowt.

Jumps today were epic. Made a point of using the ramps on the way out to gain height. At the peaks I could see over the whole spit, its a second of a totally unique view point There were proper waves at Stanswood Bay too, got some runs with 3 or 4 turns in:D Thats pretty unusual for the solent!
