martin Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 I'll be at PS from 1pm tomorrow, if there's too much North in the wind then i'll drive up to PDH. Spent this afternoon cleaning sand out of my bearings & re-greasing. One had seized solid & wouldn't turn al all:(.
avspider Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Deffed it actually. Looked alright at work but by the time I walked home it was pretty flat calm. Went for a walk in the garden & took some pics instead. See Facebook for the results:) Had a good session yesterday tho:D Im feeling pretty battered - note to self about landing back loops properly! Got some nice pics of C in the buggy. If anyones going out this eve drop me a txt & I might turn up with the camera. Dan a txt?? mental note; remind C to remind G to take phone:eek: lol:p we're hoping to be out flying tomorrow, and then afterwards... you already know
avspider Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Why oh why does it look nice to go flying tomorrow, when I'm off to ge the decking for the garden early tomorrow.

sidtsloth Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 I am hoping to get out for a fly... tho i should probably wait a while for my head to clear enough to drive R.
FLIGHT CLUB Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 A selection of the club was out today - as the wind was silly, so silly kites were flown. Membership can now be applied for in the normal way

They've been on here a while anyway. I've stuck a rather good vid on my website (link in the video thread on here or under A08 page on my website). It's split into 4 parts which is a shame as SteveD got a great mix of video. Close up of you AV.
avspider Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 "it's" been around for a while, and pops in now and again. Yesterday was an interesting flying with the 3.4m, it great in clean wind, but bumpy a nightmare. It was gusting to almost 40knots. The 2.5m PUNK YES PUNK rage was fun
martin Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Anyone nipping out this evening to LH to make up for the lost day?
avspider Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Nope, as suspect it's very boggy and don't fancy destroying the grass and getting covered in mud
avspider Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Well, seeing as the summer hol's is looming quickly for us (last 2 weeks of june), and nothing is planned yet, looks like we might be heading for the wobbly wet stuff for a few days. Which will mean we should be around for the festival
Liquidsouls Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Anyone know if there are any other areas near woolston ish where it wud possible to kite?
martin Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Any other places than what? Lords Hill & Weston Shore?
avspider Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 We'll be heading to weston shore more when the direction is right. If it's not perfect for there, then we generally head for LH.
martin Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 when are peeps usually at weston shore? When the wind comes off the river i'll be there most days/evenings. It was SE for a little while yesterday afternoon & i took my daughter out, she even went in the buggy:eek:. The grass is about knee hight at the mo & causes a lot of drag.
T595 Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 Hey Spidey check these out....pretty.... http://community.flexifoil.com/showthread.php?t=143699
avspider Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 They are nice Harley, but these are better value http://community.flexifoil.com/showthread.php?t=140738&highlight=1400 They'd be my weapon of choice, being slightly more difficult to fly to get the best out of them. Both would suit any up and coming racer. you won't get a better deal than the RM+'s

It's just so much more easier to get to for me than LH cos dun have a car XD
martin Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 S & SW is best, workable from SE to W but you obviously end up travelling across the field rather than along it. If you live in Woolston & need a lift, give me a shout. I usually post on here or SEKA when & where i'm going.
avspider Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Martin, how you getting on modding the buggy? Who's around the weekend for a fly? we're unsure about sat as starting the decking this eve, and carrying on tomorrow, will depend on what time I fin. Sun, hoping to fly at LH
