Well that was the BEST weekend flying i've hd in YEARS!! great company, great venue, erm a little booze, home in one piece, apart from one 20m power line, finally beat someone i've been trying to for yr's - and did it in 2 out of 3 fun races on friday. Martin has enough t-shirts now to last a lifetime!! ALL free as was doing so well at the novice racing. Congrats to MC for winning a prize for THOSE TROUSERS!! And last but no means least... PBG got a new harness = for being the daintiest buggier!!! DEF go for the next one!!

martin Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 WHAT A WEEKEND:eek: . I gave up with the van at Tiverton services & called the breakdown people. There's a bit of video of it being pulled onto the back of the truck, the ramps were so wide it only just about fitted on:(. Got home about 10;30. All my stuff has been hosed down & is drying in the garden. Can't wait to see the photo's & vid from the races:). @ 118 - I came 3rd in the drag race with my 5m Ace, beating a 6m Ace:confused:

Went out in the buggy a few times, which included flipping it twice, an OBE and some two wheeled action (not planned!). I filled my bath with sand in the process of drying two slightly damp kites and have stunk the airing cupboard out with a pair of minging trainers!

Besides i went and stood next to 50 ton WW2 tanks at Bovington, got ripped for lunch, went to beaulieu and drooled over some nice cars & some nice vintage (ish) bikes (but not the crappy Duck race bikes that are display, soz Gonz), got ripped off again for more snacky food, flew the Ace then got ratfaced on tequila and corona on saturday night. What could be better than that? (bugger, you just answered that question......)

We gave the novice's a wide (ish) berth at times when possible:D And if they thought the experienced were getting close, they only needed to look at how close the experienced one's were getting... oops erm had a few interesting moments with a few buggy jumpers, and the tandam:D
