adz medic Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 can you think of any decent places to fly in southampton area as just started flying 4 months ago so still a rookie
martin Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Hi adz Not really got any decent sites but the most used are Lords hill rec. Lumpy in most directions. Big space. Port Solent. Average wind off the sea. Bit of a trek though. Weston shore. Luvly wind off the wide open river but small field (My local) Daily Echo field. Good wind off the marshes.1,2 & 4 all get water logged through the winter:(. Salisbury has a large field but is only good in some directions plus is used as a sports field & is about an hour away. I reckon Lords hill is the most popular location if you want to meet other like minded people for hints & tips.
