domenic Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 my second go at buggying was great thanks to a very patient instructor called Nigel . I went up and down wind , did some turns , crashed the kite and guess what no bang on the helmet with a voice yelling '' are you stupid ?'' Feels great crusing around in Doms tractor . Looking forward to my next go.:D:D:D:rofl: Quote
nigel Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 We will get you out in much better wind Vicky, so much easier to learn!! I don't think you'll need much more coaching, you seem to have got it under control!! Keep the kite killers on for a while, you can push quite hard and just let go when it goes pear shaped. Watch the speed, and slow down before you turn. Now how funny is it going to be when Vicky passes Dom and Eddie in the races!!! I hope Dom is buying you your own buggy?? Well done Vicky!! :D:D:D Quote
jdhot Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Great to always see someone else getting bitten by the bug. Good on ya Vicky, just listen to your coaches and you'll be fine cheers JD Quote
Spartan Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Good on you Vicki, it does get easier with every run, just keep at it and you know what? you are being shown how to buggy by the best (THE BEST) person in the buggy world. Jo (Jolli) did the intro and Nigel took the time with me when I first tryed to buggy. He let me use his buggy and then spent ages showing me in detail, the how to in buggying, and now I'm ripping up kites:o, poping airs :crazypilot:and bending axels. I guess this is the chance to say thanks Nigel for taking time out of your bugging day, to help others get into the sport. Thanks heeps mate, from George (The Spartan) Balas. Quote
Baggsy Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 great stuff!! i see you need to be on tippy toes to reach the front wheel ..maybe they might adjust it for you..permanantly ! Quote
jolli Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Vicky, Nice to see you are moving along very nicely in the buggy now, hopefully you will be able to teach Rachel once you have mastered the buggy. I know she is looking forward to getting out and about this summer. Jolli Quote
Goz Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Good to see your making progress Vicky, keep up the good work. Soon you will be able to show Dom how it's done. Quote
Dangerous Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Go Vicky........You can give me a lesson in December. Wonder if Dom will let me have a go in the apexx lol. I bet he had it made extra snug so my pommy butt won't fit. Quote
