abbe89 Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 I had mine with a private person....he was really good because it was much more personal than going through a big agency. He really inspired me with confidence and just laughed if i did something silly (after correcting me ofcourse hehe) if you can, see if you can get a free first lesson to see how you get on with them, if you don't you havent wasted any money. i did that happy driving and dont forget to smile at people Quote
gigglefairy Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 I did mine through a private person too, but I wouldn't have particularly recommended him - he took lots of phone calls from other students to book lessons because he didn't have an office to deal with those things, and I never had the same time slot each week. I would have been better with an agency. Quote
SkintMonkey Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 I did mine through the AA. the guy i had was good if not a bit weird! Only thing i would do is dictate the lessons to them. You prgress quicker and dont end up spending a bomb on 30 lessons:) they are afterall there to serve you. best of luck:) Quote
Smiley Mike Posted November 11, 2006 Author Report Posted November 11, 2006 yea i got some details of private ppl in my area, as well as AA/BSM etc... Price-wise they're all about the same, so il just see who i like really! Mike Quote
martiin Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Tesco do a deal. If some one in your familly has a clubcard you can spend £70ish of tescos vouchers and get a BSM starter pack with Books, Cds, L plates, two hours on a simulator and 6 lessons. Not too shabby. Quote
