Dominich Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 If you use this t-77 wax Im guessing your lines would be easier to sort out at the beach though? Should make them just fall apart when walking them out does it? Quote

Houdini Flyer Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 surely surf wax would make them stick together would it not? Quote
sonicseal Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 I use a PU tubing over my depower with no problem for a long time. Worked a treat on the Zero4 bars and now the Zero7's. Quote

Have you been stealing my chips while I've not been looking. Regarding waxing the lines, it can be useful to wax the part of your lines where they cross over when you spin/loop etc, this will reduce wear. Waxing the whole of the lines does take far to long and does very little for decent condition lines. Really bad fluffy lines can bennefit from waxing although if they are really bad it might be worth considering changing them, lines are quite important. Quote
pantman Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 i use 2 tea lights and squash the line between then pull the line through. After that i run the line between my fingers and the heat warms the wax up and melts it nicely. I do my lines, depower rope and bridles when i can be a#sed. Quote
Kite Killa Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 first i'v heard about waxing lines.... but i'v only been kiting for 6 months or so, so i'm still a bit of a newb.... Why do people wax their lines, what are the benifits??? I'm guessing to protect/preserve them maybe?? Quote
Angoose Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 and so that when the lines twist after a loop or something, they don't saw through each other just slide over. also with the de-power rope it makes it last longer as it moves through the hole in the bar more smoothly Quote

Well you said your wax was as cheap as chips, therefore as a result of me swiping your wax, my chips are technically cheaper than yours! Mwa ha ha ha. Quote
