Steiner Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Venom all the way, really are stable gust eating machines, I also love the way that when you stack it big style, unless you are diving the kite at the deck it just rises up to the zenith you you are therefore less likely to damage the kite crashing it and you can spend more time cocentrating on trying not to hurt yourself in the wipeout and not worry what the kite is going to do. daZZa-S Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 If flying inland closed cell always wins, its proper arc territory! again a nice 13/16m Venom/Venom2 would suite you nicely, do you wish to get into jumping and freestyle or are you happy just cruising? Go for a closed cell flysurfer or arc for inland. I fly my Flysurfer pulse inland over my venoms. The main reason for not listing is because flysurfers are so feking expensive (the next one i'm getting is over a grand!) and also you have to be careful as the speed can be too agressive and lifty and the Spirits and Voodoo's are like gold dust because they are so good kites Plenty of second hand Phantoms and Gurellias about. Saw a flysurfer voodoo go cheaply on ebay. Just have a look about on the second hand market. Quote
Hathba Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Buy my Phantom 12m - in the for sale section Quote
wenglish Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 have to agree closed cell for gusty conditions, ive been using a psyco2 that i got from kermit stu on here, it nice in the gusts but i havent put it out in realy bad gusts. yeah they cost a bit but they are worth it and have seemed to hold their value if you get one seccond hand, and with the psyco3s out now there are a few ''flying'' about lol i have seen a venom though and it was fine in the gusts, the guy didnt look like it botherd him one bit. KermitStu Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 go out and try them kites suit diffrent riders its th eonly addvise i can give go for an air evolution hybrid core great lift float and stability pluse you can buy a size down and have the same power as the frenzy e.g. buy a 8m air evo and you have the power of a 10m frenzy Quote
