Disco_Bison Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Yes congratulations from the Bison household. I will be making an honest woman of Mrs Bison at the end of the month and then for the honeymoon we're off to the Isle of Lewes for a week to get some decent kite flying in, and I can practice on my board without being scared of running people over Quote

Sand-Yeti Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Lem /Moomin. You were threatening to come here at one time but your engagement peaked in the Peaks (sorry about boring pun). Wedding next March in NZ, eh?. Have you ever vistied NZ? It's a beaut. place with pleasant people but stuck on the @rse of the world. It's along haul to that Antipodean island from the UK. Why don't you plan to stop over in Dubai to break your journey? I'd love to meet you guys in the flesh. I this the first Flexi marriage on this forum? If yes, I don't know if something special can be done to celebrate the union, which will bind you within the confines of a bourgeois society. Good luck to you both and may you enjoy a long, trouble free & happy future together. Sand-Yeti Quote

gigglefairy Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Congratulations! I'm rather glad our camping trip to the peak district last week didn't happen as the idea of getting married scares me rigid! Quote
SandMonster Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 congratulations... cool location for a wedding too... CANDICE...just have a quick look at this thread!!!... :p Quote
eeyore Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Just wondering, when you 2 leave the church will you be in a horse drawn buggy? Quote
moomin Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Sadly, the job in Dubai never quite made it. There is still a very vague chance that we may end up there, but it's quite remote. Unfortunately, Emirates currently seems to have the longest flights (2 stop overs, about 48 hrs travel time) and the most expensive prices, so it's more likely we'll be stopping in Singapore. Neither of us has been to NZ before, but we've both always wanted to visit. We're not quite sure of he exact wedding date yet, but it'll be somewhere between the 1st and the 21st of March next year. As for everyone else - whaddya mean 'about time'! We've only been together just over a year and a half! Although I will admit, sometimes it does feel like an eternity.... Lem /Moomin. Sand-Yeti Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Just wondering, when you 2 leave the church will you be in a horse drawn buggy? Hope not, it should be kite powered. I'm rather glad our camping trip to the peak district last week didn't happen as the idea of getting married scares me rigid! It's not so scary as you imagine. I've been married over 25 years and although we have had a few ups & downs, I have no regrets and wouldn't change it for the world. Mind you I have been very lucky that SWMBO has put up with so much of my 5h!t. I think any other woman would have either divorced or murdered me a long time back. I have a good feeling that Lem & Moomin are going to have a great life together. Sand-Yeti Quote
