animal_69 Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 I think with kiting (an this is jus what ive found from my experiences), especially a beginner like me, its easy to think you will progress better if you have the same kit as the guy busting all the moves at your local spot. I very nearly fell into this trap, but after some good advice, im gonna stick with my blades until ive got all the basics dialled (just pulled off my first powerslide transitions ) The case of snide remarks to people who are in a position & can afford to change their kit regularly is jus down to jealousy i rekon Quote

True which is what I have done to a point, I used to fly inland all the time and virtually everyone flew blades.. So I got them, yes I have progressed with them loads but a certain amount of watching others and thinking I could do the same…..Also setting up an arc on the small sites was not an option!.... The case of snide remarks to people who are in a position & can afford to change their kit regularly Lol I have no spare cash…. I have been careful tho to make sure I have not lost on selling The case of snide remarks to people who are in a position & can afford to change their kit regularly is jus down to jealousy i rekon I think some, may (or may not) be in a position where their partners give them jip for changing kit…. My wife used to get so annoyed when I sold a kite or brought one but she leaves me to it now.. So yea I think some people don’t change stuff for the fear of the moaning partner may dislike someone elses freedom…. Who knows Quote
