Skullfish Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 Big handful of small chesnut mushrooms with the stalks cut, not pulled. fry lightly in lots of butter with half an onion (cut into long very thin strips, gives a nice texture) and a clove of garlic with the lid on it for about 10 minutes. All the moisture will leak out of the onions/mushroms and give you a nice sauce. Add loads of pepper, tad of salt, small teaspoon of english mustard, a dollop o greek yoghurt and a springling of sugar. Pour (its quite wet by this point) over some toast and enjoy. (How to make mushroom stroganoff when theres no cream in the fridge.) Quote
