noisy_lightning Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Well there seems to be no point at all in going out today, wind is non existent. Sodding typical! Quote
nemo_sushi Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 It was actually pretty good up the field noisy.. U never can tell.. Nice little afternoon session even if I was feeling a little worse for wear. Quote
outinthesticks Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Had'nt noticed Steve :-D, Will was un-usually quite today? must of not been out in a while and was making the most of it. Should of come down noisy wasn't bad at all. Must get another beach trip in, if and when my new kite arrives. Quote
Kaskazi Posted June 17, 2007 Report Posted June 17, 2007 Anyone else heard the news that Salisbury Rugby Club have put forward proposals to increase the number of rugby pitches on Hudson's? I may be wrong but I get the feeling kiters tend to use the field more often than the players... anything we can/or should do? Open for discussions! Quote
noisy_lightning Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 Ah well, looks like I missed a half decent afternoon in the end then, bugger. Still I got my car cleaned, on the outside at least so it wasn't all that bad. I may well head down tomorrow afternoon and have a bash, looks promising as long as the rain holds off! Quote
jimabbey Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Explain????? Buggy's broken I did hear ages ago that there is proposals in place to level each of the pitches, so they would be tiered or sort of stepped. I wonder if this is anything to do with what you say Big D..... Quote
outinthesticks Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 That would be awesome, make shift kickers :-) not sure if it would be so good for the buggiers though. Quote
nemo_sushi Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Apparently the council did a consultation and are drafting a "management" plan for all the parks and green spaces.. Hudson's is the next one up so keep an eye out I guess.. As the council has to provide fair access for all sports I am not sure they can add that many pitches.. Quote
noisy_lightning Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Should prove rather interesting if they did that, we could get some interesting up drafts off the embankments with the winds if its heading in a NE direction! Quote
nemo_sushi Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 3 days and no posts... ur all boring Quote
Big Daddy Posted June 23, 2007 Author Report Posted June 23, 2007 I am back now, so what's been happening? Anyone out today? I'm not!! Having some mods done on my buggy to make it go faster. Spoilers, windscreen, wheel guards etc. May go down at some point this weekend to do static flying. What else is happening? Sorry didn't get to the pub Jim, that's when my buggy fell apart. Maybe catch up with you later or tomorrow. Adios. ps, Genesis soon:cool:. Quote

Squares Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Hi, we fly up at hudson's field in Salisbury most of the time and make it to the beach on occasion. Feel free to pop over there's usually someone about at the field at the weekend if it's windy. Best directions are westerlies, NW and SW being the smoothest, goal posts are down at the moment so you get the whole field to play with. Quote

Squares Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 What is with this weather! rubbish. Away in london saturday I'm afraid. Will be up at the field sunday though if the rain ever stops. Pub thursday anyone? Graham I found you windometer in my car the other day will give it back next time I see ya. Quote
Big Daddy Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 Pub Thursday sounds like a good idea. Need to get some practice in for Saturday at the Beer Fest:p. Just need to get permission this evening... Bit wet out at mo. Quote
noisy_lightning Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I would have to agree with the weather, though to be honest its not been the best since April, what with the stupidly high pressure and heat we had then, not the low pressure and crappy storms now! I would come over for a drink on Thursday but am busy unfortunately, same for the weekend. Quote

Quote
Big Daddy Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 Morning rix-zgw, Hudsons is to the North of Salisbury on the A345 to Amesbury. About a mile north of the city there is Old Sarum on the west of the road and the Castle pub on the east of the road. Just south of Old Sarum is the field. Park down the bottom near the junction with the camping area and you have 60 acres or so. Quote
Big Daddy Posted June 28, 2007 Author Report Posted June 28, 2007 I have a permit for tonight. How about 7:30 at the George & Dragon in Castle Street? Unless anyone has any other bright ideas. Got to go to work now. Bye Quote
