Anyone else heard the news that Salisbury Rugby Club have put forward proposals to increase the number of rugby pitches on Hudson's?

I may be wrong but I get the feeling kiters tend to use the field more often than the players... anything we can/or should do?

Open for discussions!

Ah well, looks like I missed a half decent afternoon in the end then, bugger. Still I got my car cleaned, on the outside at least so it wasn't all that bad.

I may well head down tomorrow afternoon and have a bash, looks promising as long as the rain holds off!

Explain????? Buggy's broken

I did hear ages ago that there is proposals in place to level each of the pitches, so they would be tiered or sort of stepped. I wonder if this is anything to do with what you say Big D.....

Apparently the council did a consultation and are drafting a "management" plan for all the parks and green spaces.. Hudson's is the next one up so keep an eye out I guess..

As the council has to provide fair access for all sports I am not sure they can add that many pitches..

I am back now, so what's been happening? Anyone out today? I'm not!! Having some mods done on my buggy to make it go faster. Spoilers, windscreen, wheel guards etc.

May go down at some point this weekend to do static flying. What else is happening?

Sorry didn't get to the pub Jim, that's when my buggy fell apart. Maybe catch up with you later or tomorrow.

Adios.

ps, Genesis soon:cool::D.

Hi, we fly up at hudson's field in Salisbury most of the time and make it to the beach on occasion. Feel free to pop over there's usually someone about at the field at the weekend if it's windy. Best directions are westerlies, NW and SW being the smoothest, goal posts are down at the moment so you get the whole field to play with.

Seems we might have got away with those comments Rich:cool::cool:.

On a more important note, who is going to the Beer festival on Saturday night at the Arts Centre. Jim and I certainly are...any other takers?

I would have to agree with the weather, though to be honest its not been the best since April, what with the stupidly high pressure and heat we had then, not the low pressure and crappy storms now!

I would come over for a drink on Thursday but am busy unfortunately, same for the weekend.

Morning rix-zgw, Hudsons is to the North of Salisbury on the A345 to Amesbury. About a mile north of the city there is Old Sarum on the west of the road and the Castle pub on the east of the road. Just south of Old Sarum is the field. Park down the bottom near the junction with the camping area and you have 60 acres or so.
