Well, dudes what a carp few days it's been.

My work PC had a major crash on Friday evening, so I have spent the last 2 days reinstalling everything. Still not all there, but it sort of works with most of the stuff I had. Anyone get out today? Anyone go up that Hill near Marlborough?

Next weekend better be good or else....I'm going to sell it all:rolleyes::eek:.

Also been messing about getting my weather back up and running. Still available on that link I put up before.

I have also been running a Blog (not as good as Steve & Sarah's), and this links to all those picasaweb.google pictures. Quite clever all this stuff. Until I get my own website, this will have to do, so go and have a look and let me know if it is any cop.

I had a very nice couple of hours at Hudsons yesterday between about 1 and 3 ;)

Not a lot of wind (7-10) so was Air Evo power all the way but got some nice fast runs in that seemed to impress some of the locals! Vbg!

I thought you'd all gone to Marlborough - had the place to meself!

;);)

Still too much buggy talk on here now...

On a more serious note SDC have released the draft management plan for Hudsons link below.

The good news is that there is no negative words regarding kite use and "land surfing". They may resurface and widen the tarmac road which isnt too bad. The rugby club is keen to have 2-4 extra pitches and training facilities... but this would probably specify the use of the field too much from its community orientation. They would also like the pitches levelled but this is unlikely due to cost.

They may setup a Friends group (focus group). I strongly recommend someone join this group if it is formed. The document lists the clubs that were consulted and this included the rugby, football and pigeon racers. As we never had a club there was no consultation with kite users. It may be worth forming a club to show our interest in the site. The club could make contact at the end of the rugby/football season for the removal of the posts etc.

Wow. It is all going on in Salisbury. A 50 odd page document on developing a field. It is good to see that the local council really know where to direct their funds!!!!

Married life is ****. I'm stuck in Guildford with no flying sites with even a sniff of decent wind. The only consistant wind I get at the moment is from the bird howling at me when I want to go out flying!!!

Catch you guys soon.

Hello one and all. Seems to be a busy time of year...not much time for fun.

Don't have any pics of big Mark.

I haven't booked anything for next weekend - thought Jim had assumed the Daddy;). Perhaps we just ought to have an evening in the pub(s).

Looks like not much wind and cold for next weekend. What shall we do? What else has everyone been doing? Steve & Sarah around?
