Buggy Maniac Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 What do people recommend as a practical one-peice coverall for buggying on a wet beach? Quote
encona1599968593 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 I personally dont - use shorts and get wet - the less you wear the less you have to dry :) I did try a one piece motor cycle suit once didnt like it - would rather be in shorts http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Images/DryRider1pc.jpg circa 35 notes Steve Quote

aquatix Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Highly recommend a flying suit (such as for paragliding / hang-gliding). They are not fully waterproof, but windproof, breathable and lined. More comfortable and not sweaty like a drysuit, plus lots of pockets, much easier to put on & you can open zips etc when you get too hot (or need a pee ). Normal wheel spray doesn't soak through, so perfectly practical for beach use ! Usually some for grabs on ebay, cheaper than dry-suits and no expensive rubber seals to replace . Quote

flydad Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 What do people recommend as a practical one-peice coverall for buggying on a wet beach? I must say there's nothing to beat a dry suit, yes they do have a sweat problem but thats generally wicked off if you wear a fleese underneath. I got a cheap 'seconds' one a while ago and have never looked back. Although the proofing does wear away around the crotch/harness area and untill you get around to re-sealing it again it can be a bit damp If I ever get a spare 2-300 quid I'll invest in a good quality one. Ive been through various one piece suits but they all have their faults as they never seal fully. I've found the most waterproof ones then fail with age, likely due to the UV affecting the material. Buggy Maniac Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 Thanks for all the advice to everyone, I'll follow up most leads apart from Mick's suggestion (I am far too old and ugly). Quote
