Peace Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 just noticed this thread and the lack of real beer in it.... for anyone in sydney, please do yourselves a favour and go here - http://www.redoak.com.au/02_00.html has some of the greatest beers i have ever tasted (out of the hundreds of imported beers i have tried) and none of these light "beers" you speak of. Some contain up to 14% alcohol and you can barely taste it! mmmmmmmmmmm Peace Quote
schultzie Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 can it be purchased at any liquor stores? Quote
Peace Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 i have only seen them at a bottle o on oxford st unfortunately.... they do mail order though! e-mail them for an order form and give it to someone that cares about you enough to buy you several cases for christmas organic pale ale is amazing and so is the hefeweizen if you like a wheat beer similar to Hoegaden? Peace Quote
JKS Posted December 13, 2008 Author Report Posted December 13, 2008 Nice one Peace ..... my kind of store WEIZEN DOPPLEBOCK Silver Medal - Sydney Royal Beer Competition 2007 This beer has never been brewed in Australia before! It is a German style wheat beer with a powerful fruit and spice aroma and a creamy mouthfeel of banana and spices on the palate with a warming taste of alcohol and long complex finish. (8.4%) I wonder if that's a hangover waiver Marty Quote
younggun987 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 i could drink rum and all that stuff all night without getting a hangover, but for me when i have heaps of beers there the ones that give me the shit, haha, still love them though. Quote
JKS Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 Today is a beer sort of day .,........... The airconditioned lounge room is perfect ... but the rest of the house is 34 Quote
TassieDevil Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I have a cousin who used to brew his own... nothing too exotic, just a couple of different types of the common Coopers ales. But after drinking those home brews, pretty much all commercial beers have tasted like watery crap to me, tho I have to admit not trying too many of the plethora of boutique beers available at so many places today. I'd love to get into brewing my own, but if I did that, I'd be twice the bloody size I am now (already too big), so that's gotta be off limits for me.. Gary Quote

Crooked Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Ha ha JKS, It's tonic water, to make the wife a gin and tonic. Keeps her happy while I'm drinking beer......and is a good way to earn brownie points for kiting trips, which may help you in your other thread. But it might have to be a cup of tea if JSKG is providing the good stuff for the bub. Quote
