Riff Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 what are your thoughts on a pepper for land boarding? I'm a noob, so I'm thinking of maybe a 5.5 which won't break the bank and taking it from there. Any suggestions? Riff:rolleyes: Quote
nemo_sushi Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Nice kites... Lots of pull.. near zero lift.. You could easily learn on them.. Quote
Skyhooked Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Nice kites... Lots of pull.. near zero lift.. You could easily learn on them.. very true nice and stable too. easy to turn, forgiving in gusty winds we have a 3.5m and its a magic little kite, so the 5.5m im sure will create good power in light winds nemo - good to hear the phantoms serving you well mate! i have a new depower strap with leash i can send on to you - as i mentioned at the park that day would you like me to send this on to you? its no problem Quote
nemo_sushi Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Yeah Dom that would be great.. Am looking for a 15 and maybe a 12 too now as Sarah is really getting into the Phantom goodness. Cheers nemo BTW riff sorry for hijack Quote
Riff Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Posted September 27, 2005 Thanks for the comments chaps. I'm looking at the 3.5 instead I think at the moment... the bloke in the shop (powerkiteshop, just down the road from me) said that should do me for now cheers Riff Quote
Dragon Danny Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Go for a 5m mate are you after lift at all?? mite want to have alot at other makes as well Quote
Riff Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Posted September 27, 2005 I've thought about jumping... but I've been told I'd need a totally different beast for that and frankly I want to speak to people who do in in the flesh, so to speak, before I try. I think I might go for the 4.5 judging by people's reactions as a compromise Quote
Insomnia Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 I Flew a 5.5 at the weekend In very gusty conditions, and it was great!!!! I'm even thinking about getting one myself as I've just started Landboarding and was looking for a bigger kite, From what I've been told, A bigger Kite gives you more confidence as it moves slower though the air leaving you move time to worry about where your going...
