  1. I dunno about skateboarding, But me and my friends used to ride BMXs. When we started there where no parks for miles and none of us could drive(being 12-14) So we used to dig dirt jumps all over the place trying to find the ideal spot, We had one spot in a park we went back to year after year, Till one day the park keeper found it and trashed it!!! Turns out people had complained about us making them jump.(4 lads suddenly popping out of a bush in front of an old lady tends to do that..) and the grounds keepers had gone to see where we kept going/coming from and had found our jumps and flattened them... Needless to say none of us where happy about this so got a pitisiton togther and got everyone we knew to sign it,(we all went to different school's so that was alot!!) We went to the local paper, and they ran a story about how the concil had stop us from keeping active and how one of us had been mugged at a skate park we had to travel to. In the end we got even more then we had wished for as the concil built a skate park for us!!! What I'm trying to say is that there is alot of people using this forum, if we work togther, to always put forward the better sides of the sport and help others to be aware of the dangers that thay could put themsevles in. If someone comes to ask a question answer it, be nice! not everyone see's a 10m kite every day.. If someone has a problem with what your doing. Do as they ask, even if it does mean packing up...(if only for a short time!! ) Talk to your local concil listern to there reasons.. If enough people show that they have safty first and know there limits they may be more willing to cut us some slack... Sorry for my rambling I'm going to bed now........ P.s. Having insurence always makes things easier!! (and for £15 a year! your a fool not too.....)
  2. I Flew a 5.5 at the weekend In very gusty conditions, and it was great!!!! I'm even thinking about getting one myself as I've just started Landboarding and was looking for a bigger kite, From what I've been told, A bigger Kite gives you more confidence as it moves slower though the air leaving you move time to worry about where your going...
  3. I Don't have the flexdeck but I have the Airdeck and I've just started landboarding too, I was recommeded it by a dealer and found that to start with I was always turning heeledge. But after a few run down a hill(Not V. steep mind ) I learnt the key was to just bend my Knees a lil, Thou I did need to loosen the trucks a little.
