ok . thinking of upgrading my board to something stronger that will last longer with a bit more 'pop'. but the one thing i really dont want to give up with my board is the fact that it weighs nothing. will the 10ply trampa be good?

Lot depends on your weight, at 13 i'm guessing you don't weigh much so maybe the 10 will be fine. Best thing is to ring Ed or Ted at Trampa (freephone number is on www.trampaboards.com) and they will sort you out :)

andy, when your next down st andrews way have a work to owain and judith (you will see the tractionkiting.co.uk van and banners). they have a few demo trampa's starting i think from 12 ply. i think the boards start at 10 or 11 ply but that should be good for you.

i personally rekon you'd be better off getting maybe the mbs core 8. this is just personal preference, but after having used loads of the trampas and now using mbs's, i really love them. another plus with the mbs is that the core 8 is SUPER cheap and also really light at only 5.4kg!!!

blimey, this does sound quite biased but this is my personal opinion!!

tried the comp 6. great board. but like ally says, 'have you felt the weight of my current board. i was on the comp 6 then switched to my board again and it took me 5 mins to get used to the lightness again. its 10lbs i think. but its getting worn out and i want something stronger with more 'pop' but still pretty light.

that is pretty light.

well here it goes.

the thinnest ply deck they do seems to be a 11 ply. this should be fine for you though.

11 ply short 93cm: 2140g

scrub skate trucks: 1070 grammes per pair

trampa velcro bindings: set of 2 = 300 grammes

rockstar hubs with mbs T1 tyres: set of 4 = 1744 grammes (436g each)

cant think of anything else needed, so you could a trampa that weighs from 5254g + a couple hundred grams for bolts and stuff.

i recommend the MBS comp 6 over amy thing , nice light board , stiif with good pop. Currently upset as i bought a trampa deck to replace my core 16 deck and the thing weighs twice as much , just stupidly heavy used it once and hated it . Well made though coulkd be alright if you got the smallest ply.

hey if i were you i would get a trampa but get it custom made from upahill.they did mine and mines below 6kg with 12 ply so could maybe get to around 5kg if u got rid of the 2 extra ply and get it cut bit shorter.and they do it all for you what more could you ask?!?i got mine for 240 and it came redy to ride.

any more info needed plz pm:D

hope this helps
